The best. Enough said. Don't buy it. So I can. I hope you hate it because, it's awesome. I don't care how many times you went to Hawaii and drank coffee25 years ago. Its expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Unless I can take money to the after life and buy coffee. I'm sure people will insist it isn't the same coffee you get on the island, at resorts. It's BETTER. What do I know and do you even care? I just looked at the other reviews. Why are other Volcanica coffee types being reviewed here? I'm reviewing Kona Extra Fancy. That is the category. Who cares what the others Tate like! Please review them separately. I'm reviewing $80 coffee. Others are reviewing blends or other coffee's here. Why? I miss my Volcanica so much. I can't afford it anymore. It's great coffee though without. The best I've ever had!!!

after trying one bag of this coffee, it seemed OK so I made another order. This time the coffee did not seem to taste fresh and no changes in brewing made any difference. from simmering to boiling water, from fine to coarse grind, nothing helped. The drip method used works so well on (cheaper) brands, yet now this is a total dissapointment. consistency seems to be a big issue here.

Then you decide to clean your espresso machine first, because you want to have the full experience. You fill it with the beans. The whole room already smells like something fancy. And then you press the button - double long espresso. Very solid, caramel colored foam. The aroma is everywhere.And then you taste it.Super smooth, medium strong, slightly sour and sweet at the end. And then it leaves a never-ending mild bitter taste on your tongue - like an unsweetened dark chocolate.I personally favor latte with a single shot of espresso from these beans. Nothing but smoothness and flavor.Once you try this, no other coffee matters. This is it. Steve McQueen once said: “Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting.”Kona is a coffee. Everything else is just waiting for the next Kona.
