Great player cards, fun quests
I largely opted out of the last two cycles -- Dream-chaser and Haradrim -- because I wasn't terribly enthused by the theme, but had to jump back in for a cycle set in Wilderland. And this deluxe box doesn't disappoint! The Dale archetype is strong right out of the gate, and the attachment-heavy style is not only potent but a lot of fun to play. The first two of three quests also remix the Core Set by featuring some old friends (ha! enemies), such as the much-beloved Hill Troll and Goblin Sniper, but in a fresh and enjoyable way. Lots of good replay value there, especially on Quest 2. The third quest, as usual for deluxe boxes, ups the difficulty substantially as the heroes hunt down a cave drake in its lair, but getting to fight a dragon AND dungeon-crawl at the same time is worth the challenge! Highly recommended, definitely my 2nd-favorite deluxe box so far (after Heirs of Numenor).
