ADORE Semi Permanent Hair Color #116 Purple Rage 4 oz

I have used Special Effects, Splat, Directions, Manic Power, and Adore all purple dyes and believe me Adore wins!The dye was so easy to apply, and it DID NOT stain my skin! Every single other dye I used stained my skin so badly it was embarrassing! (And yes I used a Vaseline shield around my face and neck. But the colors would bleed in the shower and/or while I slept.)I had put this dye on my natural light-blonde and it is just beautiful! The purple is more of a bright plum which really stands out, believe me people will give you looks because it is such a neon color!Now this stuff will still stain your counters, sink, and bathtub if you are not careful. What I do is keep a box of arm and hammer baking soda, along with a strong cleaning spray. (409, Comet, and Grease Lightning seem to work best.) If I do spill some dye on any counter I quickly apply the baking soda first and spray it down. let it soak for about 2-5 minutes and scrub it with hot water.I would gives this product a billion stars if I could but I guess five will have to do. :)

I really love this brand of hair color. It was recommended to me by a friend whose hair always looks gorgeous! Previously, I had Pravana on my hair from my beautician. It left like a slight powdery texture to my hair, and I had so much color transfer onto my face, shoulders and back at night I had to sleep with my hair up. I loved the switch to Adore because I no longer had that color transfer, and it left my hair silky. The Purple Rage color has more of a blue tone to it (or at least it did on my hair). It faded pretty, but definitely to a blue color. I now have Rich Eggplant on my hair. It's the perfect purple for what I am looking for. Tip: If you want your color to last longer, add a little of the color to your conditioner every time to wash your hair. Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes or while you shower.

I have off-black or black-brown hair color and I don't bleach. Leave it in overnight with coconut oil. Then use a sulfate free stamp and cond when you wash. You will have to reapply every month or so as long as you condition on most days and use cool-warm water.

The bottle says 15 min under heat. Well if you read it says the dye doesn't have any chemicals, so basically it's a stain. I bleached my hair (washes out on brown, my mom tried it lol) and left it in for 3 hrs with a plastic bag on my head. It doesn't damage ur hair! Except the bleach does of course... But it worked really well. It came out really dark and has faded to a pink in some places. It's pretty since I left it in for 3hrs, the color had stayed for about a month:) now it's ponk and its been 2 months.

This really was a temporary color, though I didn't really care if it came out right away or not. Most of it was gone after one shampoo, after two it was barely noticeable, had to really look for it. Since you don't mix anything I kept the rest and can probably use it many more times since my hair is not long and I just make some highlights. Was surprised it did not come off on pillow when I slept or anything. Nice color of purple.

Deep color! Easy to apply using a brush for a streak of color. Just colored my hair today so I don't know how long it will last, but I like the color.

I've used Manic Panic (beautiful color, doesn't last) and Splat (eh color, lasts longer but I still don't want to be dying my hair every week) a friend suggested ADORE because it lasts on her hair for a looooong time. I tried it following the directions to the letter and the purple color is fabulous but it faded pretty quickly, longer than Splat but not really long enough. I tried it again using a longer processing time. It's been a month and the color is just starting to fade. I really recommend this product for color that lasts, but only if processing is increased.

I love the color but I was in a hurry and I was trying to do purple and burgundy (the burgundy was regular hair dye) and I had to borrow a hair dryer to use the purple. My hair kinda turned out reddish and brownish but I still like it. Will try other colors of this brand in the future, I'm sure.
