Fascinating insight into the world of rock music
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Having lived through the same period of time, it brought back some wonderful memories. Angelo has a great sense of humour and is able to laugh at himself when telling his story. It was so interesting to hear about how it all began in the early days for Angelo and Iron Maiden. Fans of Iron Maiden and Praying Mantis will delight in the exquisite details of what went on, such as a day by day account on what it was like touring up and down the UK. A brilliant read!

Great road stories and rock history.
Thoroughly entertaining and revealing account of those early days of the giants of British metal. Bob brings home the highs and lows of a touring musician with great warmth and humour, a good read.

A must-read for anyone interested in the history of British rock....
Bob Sawyer perfectly captures how a musical career starts, along with an insight into the early days of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Drawing on his diaries from the time, he writes in an accessible, humorous and down-to-earth way about the highs and lows of this period. Highly recommended to musicians and fans alike....

Brought back some memories
I remember going to see Bob in those early Maiden years in the Harrow and Bridge House. So reading this brought back some fond memories of that period. An easy read with some amusing tales of antics on the road.
