Great for a newbie and soooo straightforward!
Purchased this after reading a number of other reviews. We had tried last year when we had more time on our hands during lockdown to cook, etc., to eat a more plant based diet and really enjoyed the difference we felt from doing so. Decided to try it again so looked for cookbooks rather than having to scour the internet for recipes. So glad I bought this book!!! The recipes are so straightforward, simple, and pretty tasty!!! You don't need lots of fancy ingredients - I'm surprised how tasty some of the meals are considering how few ingredients are involved. We are slowly working our way through the recipes, and so far I cannot fault them. There's been the odd one that is just 'okay' but there's been many that I would definately repeat making - and it's all down to individual taste I guess. I've never enjoyed aubergines, and this has put them in a new light - especially after one of the dishes I made the other night - one of my favourites so far.So if you're new to plant based diets, don't have a huge amount of time on your hands to faff around with fancy recipes, like to try new meals (ie. not just meat dishes replaced with meat alternatives), then give this book a go, you won't regret it. It's already my main go-to book when it's dinner time!

Good selection of easy, tasty meals
Not sure each recipe would really come in at £1 or less (don't know where he buys his halloumi but it's more than a quid per portion alone around here) but this is a really good recipe book. I'm not vegetarian but wanted more variety in my meals, and to reduce the environmental impact of my life a bit, and perceived veggie cooking as a bit labour-intensive and difficult. So this is a great answer to those things.This book has really simple, easy-to-follow recipes and everything is super-tasty. A stand-out so far is the Yaki Soba, which tastes JUST like the Wagamama original. Also great - the halloumi saag, and I enjoyed the Jollof Rice (purists might object to its authenticity but it's really good, nonetheless). Definitely worth the money and my current go-to cookbook.

Inspiring simple recipes
I'm slow on the uptake with this series of books. However I bought this one second hand on here, and am surprised how much I've used it already.I like that there is such a short list of ingredients and instructions in the recipes- although I'm a compitent cook sometimes I can't face a complicated recipe.I agree with some other reviewers that some recipes tend to be side dishes rather than main, but that's nothing some rice, potato or garlic bread won't solve.

Uncomplicated recipes
I love this book, in fact I'm going to buy one for one of my grandsons who's at University. Most of the meals are fairly simple with not too many ingredients and of course fairly inexpensive.

Brilliant
This book is simply brilliant. Recipes are easy to follow and easy to make, often in portions for 1. Also uses the same ingredients in several recipes throughout the book so you know you can buy something and make a few things from it (eg frozen spinach, halloumi, chickpeas) - you aren’t left with a load of ingredients wondering what to do with them.
