Great Fun & Learning
I've read a lot of reviews on these types of diecast model kits and am somewhat amazed at people. Most people get frustrated at 'missing pieces', 'previously opened boxes', or 'pieces not going together right'. To those folks voicing the first two frustrations I'd like to say, "When you order, you're given the choice of 'new' or (for a lesser price) 'used'. Buy NEW!!! If you've ever bought a used car in real life, you've learned the hard way that you just bought someone else's headache!!!" For the remainder, please read this review and try to learn as well as this 7-yr old child did!I got this model for my 7-yr old grandson as a Christmas present and we've liked everything about this model kit. First of all, let me say that it arrived quicker than anticipated, and in great condition. He tried starting the building process on his own and started having problems almost from the start (anxious youngster didn't bother with the instructions). There's where grandpa came in. I immediately asked him why he wasn't using the instructions. He answered that they were buried under all that other stuff in the box. Hmm, … let me point out here that 'all that other stuff' in the box was neatly packaged and displayed, and the instructions were neatly (and obviously) folded beneath them. I took a quick look at the precise and colorfully detailed instructions and immediately saw what was happening. I pointed out to him that things needed to be done in 1, 2, 3, … order, or a lot of them simply weren't going to go together as he wanted. For instance, step 3 might lock step 2 into place, etc. He had started by putting pieces he felt were obvious together (in this case … around steps 16, 20, 10, etc.). That only works to a point. In his defense, the kid is a wiz at putting together LEGO kits, and can absolutely mystify you with his dexterity with those complicated 'Transformer' things. This ain't LEGOs or Bumble Bee, kid! I pulled it all apart, grabbed the instructionsand prompted him to find and perform each step IN ORDER. He did great from there on and I only had to help with a couple pieces that needed a tad more strength to snap into position than his fingers could muster. I pointed out as he went along how if he'd done one step out of turn before the other, the piece couldn't have gone together at all. Once I had him on track (and paying attention to the instructions) the process went very smoothly, and the finished car is a real beauty. He's proud of himself, I'm proud of him, and he's playing with that thing all over the place. It seems to be a rugged little car, and should last for years to come.

BEAUTIFUL model!!!
This model was BEAUTIFUL! Putting it together was a breeze, the pieces were detailed, and directions were easy to follow. This model had great weight to it also. Was gorgeous when done.

It’s fun and easy
It’s very cool and the paint really pops out, one thing tho it did come with a wrong part but still looks amazing

He loved it
It was a gift for my nephew and I think it was his first time putting this level together. He doesn't always like to follow the directions and figure it out himself. I recommend the directions for first timers, but he loved it. Note, this is a model, not really a toy. Kids can find a cheaper toy if they are hard on toys but for a model (build and display or light play), this is good.

9yr old Christmas gift
Bought it for Christmas for my 9 yr old grandson as he wanted to get into doing models. Great starter for that! He finished it in less than half and hour and was very pleased with it and himself.

Very Nice
I think I'm addicted to these, love them but need to stop buying them because I've built more than a few that started out of boredom when I broke my ankle and couldn't stand to just sit around and watch tv. Other than that these are pretty simple and take about 20 to 30 minutes to put together. Even though most of the plastic items snap in I prefer to put a drop of Gorilla Crazy Glue on the side you can't see so it never pops out.
