Looks really good for a trash can
After reading several reviews about dented cans I was a bit worried. However, the unit I received was in perfect condition and the packing was also adequate to protect the contents. The only design flaw, if it can be called that, is that the soft close lid does not fully reach the closed position since the friction against the trash bin with a trash bag in place props it open slightly. This could have been considered and the size of the trash bin or the inside of the lid could have been adjusted accordingly. I still like the soft close feature since the lid closes without any loud noise.

Extremely small
Extreme tiny. You can only fit 3 coke cans in it , useless size for the price

Slim attractive bin - just don't put it too close to the wall.
I'm more or less 100% happy with this bin. Wish I'd spent my money earlier to be honest instead of wasting a tenner at a time for crap plastic bins. My example is perfect and flawless, really nicely finished (platinum colour which matches other items in my kitchen). 30 litres keeps a fair amount of rubbish and the Brabantia bags (which you can get off Amazon for about 15p a go, in packs of 40) seem great. They fit perfectly and are very easy to use. The soft close aspect of the bin is great, as is the inherent hygiene of a foot operated mechanism. The only drawback to me, and this could be described as a bit of a design flaw, is that the lid hinge is external, meaning the lid will bang off the wall if it is placed too closely. I'm going to fix this by putting something behind the bin so it physically can't get too close to the wall. So, a flaw in my eyes but not impossible to resolve. I'm really impressed with this nice, slimline, aesthetically pleasing bin.

Elegante y practico

Not the expected quality... but durable
The bin looks good. The lid is pedal operated and it comes with 3 bags. The pedal is plastic but it doesn’t get scratched over time, there are only 3 pads under the bin but is remains stable. From my point of view there is a gap between the quality of previous Brabantia bins and this one.Upon activation the lid opens very fast and bounces back and forth. The lid travels way behind the bin, so if you put the bin close to a wall you will leave marks on both. Closure is slow and quite smooth. There is no handle on the inner bucket. The previous models had a metal handle which made removing and moving the bucket around a breeze. The handle in the back of the bin is a quite shallow and there is just enough room for fingertips, impractical when you need to move the bin around and unusable for those with long fingernails.

Not a pleasant smell.
Prefer my old Branbntia bin which coped in the heat by containing smells. Not sure if it is because the bin metal is so thick but my bin does not smell pleasant (even in the cooler climate). I keep having to change the Branbantia bin liner before the bin is full as I can't cope with the smell.Branbantia has advised me to wash the bin but can't see this as being the problem as when I replace the bin liner, the bin is OK for couple of days and then by the third/fourth day unpleasant-tsmell-gate starts. (Considering I recycle food waste and paper, etc I don't see why I should be emptying my half full bin so quickly.)

A bright addition to the home
A fantastic little bin for the bathroom. Incorporating a removable inner bucket that makes changing the bin liner easier. The good bits:Great build quality, the colouring is fantastic and of high quality. The mechanism works well, if a little less smoothly than the bigger bins, still very good for a smaller bin.The removable inner is very useful for changing the bin.Great support from brabantia with their 10y guarantee. The bad bits:The bin liners are a little expensive if you go branded, but they do fit very very well, are of good quality in that they don't break easily! The bin can move around on the floor fairly easily due to its small size and lack of decent non-slip feet. Not the biggest gripe but it would've been nice. There's no handle on the outside of the bin which would've been useful for moving the bin, again, only a little gripe.
