DormCo Mini Shelf Supreme - Suprima Adjustable Shelving - Black

This was a nice addition to college student dorm room. God space saver for organization.

Arrived with plastic bracket piece that holds the shelves broken. It had a sliver of an edge that allowed me to put the unit together so I did. Since my son is heading to college in a few days, I figured we'd use the shelf as is right now with the broken piece on the shelf with the lightest stuff stored on it and then replace the broken bracket later. I then had an almost comical comical series of email exchanges with with Dorm Co customer service. They wanted me to take a picture of the broken part which required me to take the unit apart. It took about 6 emails back and forth because I was sending pics but amazon was removing them because they were 'not the right format.' It turns out that the pics were too large...however, it's not my fault I was sent a broken bracket so why did I have to jump through hoops to have it replaced? Any other company that I have dealt with for missing or broken hardware...they just send it. If Dorm Co does send me the part as promised, I'll modify my rating to add an extra star.As far as the actual shelving unit....it is a bit flimsy but I expect it to work fine as intended. I did make some modifications to allow it to serve my son's needs best. He's in a tiny traditional dorm room with a roommate so floor space is really an issue. He and his roommate will share everything on here so I wanted it to have everything they need within reach. I added wire grid squares with black zip ties to shore it up a little and to allow them to store pantry stuff on the middle shelf without boxes of cereal falling off the side. I added hooks for hanging mugs and misc stuff off the outer sides. Added a hanging IKEA shelf to the other side and attached it with more zip ties.Overall, I am happy with this unit with the modifications.

This was super easy to put together and it's exactly as pictured it goes great in my son's dorm room.

The shelving is cheap I know. But it is very unstable and the clips to hold the shelves in place are not very reliable.

I bought this for my son's college dorm. His room came with a mini fridge and microwave attached on top. I was concerned if the shelving unit would work since we wouldn't be able to detach the microwave. My husband assembled this in the dorm in about 20 minutes. We were able to easily adjust the shelves as needed and it it worked perfectly. We hung S hooks off the side for coffee mugs, hand towel and dish towel. My husband also zip tied a plastic paper towel holder on one side so the boys could have easy access to them. They certainly can't pull as hard on the paper towel holder as they could at home, but it gets the job done. Their Keurig sits on the top shelf with their Kcup storage tray and the lower shelf stores their dishes, utensils, a condiment stand and a whole box of hot chocolate packs. I did also purchase shelving liners for the ease of cleaning any spills and to keep stuff from falling through the wired shelving. It was one of our best purchases for his dorm.

Once I figured out where to place the shelve lockers it went smoothly. I see a lot of the reviews that said the lockers opened and flew off, this is true but the reason is the lockers and the shelf cups are just slightly narrower on the top if you don’t put it the right way it won’t lock. It’s a great shelf, very sturdy holds a lot. I would say buy it.

it is not the greatest of the options out there, and is not as adaptable as you are led to believe. It is also not a super easy assemble. Bought for a dorm room, we really had to be imaginative to get it to work. But I cannot fault the price, and it has proven stable. Worth the purchase, but not the best,

We got this for our daughter’s dorm room to place over her dorm fridge to help streamline the space & help keep her food/teas/places/snacks etc neat & accessible. It is PERFECT!!! It is very sturdy (which was an original concern of mine; I was concerned it would be topple). Although it’s easy enough to assemble, my husband found it took a little bit of patience to get the shelf spacing correct (another college dad was building the exact same unit a few doors down, & made the exact same comment! Lol). I am happy knowing her food isn’t on the floor or stuck in bins; she’s happy it’s easy get to what she wants; and it looks good!
