So so... good idea, poor execution
Handy sized and a crucial bit of kit for getting accurate colours, however poor build quality and poor quality control for a premium device.Pros- Accurate Colours (hopefully)- Convient SizeCons- The creaking Plastic hinge that seems a little brittle.- White Particles in object although it was in film wrap, which has got stuck in the plastic colour dividers.- Expensive considering build quality.- Smaller borders wanted on the grey card, recommended buying a separate white balance card, especially if using primes.- Rubber Weather sealing wanted around the edges.- Not built to last.- Feels cheapConsidering the longevity of the company, I did expect a better experience, the price would not have been the issue if they had made a more thought out product and had better quality control. A good concept but poorly executed, seems like they went for low-cost materials over quality, working on margins rather than user experience. Someone must have paid more attention to their account than their engineers and designers. Really disgusted by the cheap feel of this, X-rite your such a disappointment, you should feel ashamed, 40 years of innovation and you let this get approved, for shame.

Functions well but soooo expensive for what it is!
OK, I know this isn’t exactly a mass market item, but really??? £114 for a bit of black plastic, a few colour accurate swatches and a monochrome focussing pattern! Still, it has definitely helped me to improve and speed up the results I get when matching up footage different cameras in FCPX, so I guess it’s money well spent (he admits grudgingly). I just think something like £40-50 would be so much more realistic.

Expensive but a necessity if you can’t control the lighting.
Had several drama plays to record, but always found the venues cheap LED stage lights to be VERY blue/purple needing a fair bit of colour correction. not only could the X-rite provide a grey card witch both my SONY and Canon Eos cameras could use to correct for the cheap RGB led stage lights white balance. The colour chart makes it very simple in resolve to sync colours between the brands of video camera. The price is too high and a simple grey card could have solved my main issue for a lot less. Having said this for less than 3 minutes on site with the x-rite I saved lots of editing time trying to get multiple days footage to look consistent.

and It could have easily got damaged
As others have said, it's a crazy amount of money for something so flimsy. You don't even get a hard case to put it in. My first job with it was outdoors on a cold day, and It could have easily got damaged. I use Adobe Premiere to edit with and I don't think this product works well with it.I still really haven't seen the benefits of using this product, but maybe I'm using it wrong.

Not usable in many real-world lighting scenarios
Unfortunately, I found this unusable in many real-world scenarios, because the black bar is glossy. This means that your lighting is likely to reflect off the black bar, making it unusable for correct measurement. Yes, you could move your lights to get rid of the reflection, but this is besides the point of the product
