SKLZ Travel Batting Tee DLX, Black one-size

It's a great tee! and very portable and easy to set up. It seems well made as well and has taken some abuse from new players who often hit the tee when learning to hit a ball.

We like the tee a lot, with my 12 year old son and a few friends hitting from it through winter indoor practice. My only hesitation about giving it five stars is that the tee-top, which is dual wrapped as advertised, appears to be fraying along the top edge. Granted, there have been may balls batted from the tee over a couple of months, so I expect some wear, but just not sure how long the tee-top will last. Otherwise, it's very stable, and remains in place even with slight mis-hits. Set up is quick, and the portability makes it great for traveling. Height is easily adjustable, so multiple hitters can have it set to a desired height, or it can be adjusted for one hitter very quickly to give them more than one practice height. I've made several tees, and this is my third purchased tee, so this one makes roughly seven tees from tee-ball days to the present, which is the second year of Little League Majors boys baseball. I expect this to be the last one is a long while, so the investment is one I should have made a long time ago. I consider it well worth the money.

Awesome Tee!! We used this coaching our rookie ball team and with 8 and 9 year old's, it took a lot beatings but held up as it disn't break at all. And it is super sturdy. Best tee on the market I think!!

Base seems well-made and sturdy. Top section is friction-fit with no tightness adjustment, so time will tell if it maintains positioning with a 12" softball on it. So far so good, though. I've under-hit several times and knocked the tee over with non-trivial force and it doesn't show a scratch. Hitting 100 shots off the tee definitely seems to have helped my swing mechanics and also it let me figure out which ball height is most comfortable for me. Now I know better what to look for with incoming pitches.

The concept of this tee is great. It's small, lightweight, easy to set up, and affordable. With all the being said there were several things about the tee I'm unhappy. First of all, there are several small nuts that are recessed into plastic housings where your adjustment nuts to extend and retract the sections of the tee are. These nuts have fallen out more than once in my first week of use and I find myself crawling around looking for them as much as I'm actually using the tee. Secondly, the top most section of the tee is made of white plastic that almost never stays in place when you try to adjust the height of the top most extension. For some reason they designed this weird collar that doesn't work well when you want to extend the highest part of the tee. Lastly, the rubber section of the tee where ball sits is made by this weird thin rubber and vinyl wrap. The vinyl is already fraying around the top edge and I've only hit about 300 balls off of it. It accomplishes what I want overall but there are definitely some design flaws or things that you'll sacrifice for the cheap price.
