LattePanda4G/64GB - a Win10 Development Board (without Win10 product key)

I'd been toying around with getting Windows 10 running on an RPi4 w/8GB but too many features not working, primarily RPi touchscreen. I came across this and bought one along with the IPS display and digitizer.It arrived quickly, I got it setup and booted. It comes with Home edition installed but not activated with a user profile already setup, Windows version 1809.I downloaded the latest version from MS and created an USB installer. I got it booted to the USB and was able to install Windows with no issues. I used SnappyDriver to install missing drivers only, if you ever use this, only select missing drivers, too many times when doing newer drivers also it breaks things.So, I like it, it's a relatively quick little puter, the last Atom processor I played with was a Dell Netbook years ago, Atom's have come a LONG way!Also, previous to receiving, I'd asked a question about dual monitors and got a reply no from another user. I bought this to use in an RPi case with ribbon cable touchscreen and connect it to a bigger monitor via HDMI.I tested this, and it does indeed run 2 monitors and switches fine between duplicate and extend.Back to the touchscreen, I was unable to get it to function, even after searching and following recommended procedure so I returned it and will look at other options.One thing I like about the RPi touchscreen is it only has one ribbon cable for display and touch, shame LattePanda didn't do something similar.I like it though so far, and once done with this project will be looking at an Alpha model.

Looks good, works well. No heatsink or a fan, so add cooling ASAP for it to have any reliability + longevity. The LattePanda is *extremely* sensitive re power and needs a good, stable source. I am using a Canakit 5V 2.5A adapter w/ micro-USB (marketed for Raspberry Pi's) that I recommend. Odds are your phone adapter and/or cable are not good enough even if they're rated 2.1A+. Runs Windows 10 great, Ubuntu OK -- it would be nice if manufacturer had a better Image than a CloneZilla of a Ubuntu 16.04 desktop they managed to get working.

Don't know why there are so many negative reviews... Maybe I got lucky, but my LattePanda worked straight out of the box. Been using it to build my new project for 2 weeks now.So long as you have an appropriate power supply, as it doesn't come with one (I am using the one that came with my Raspberry Pi) and read the instructions to learn how to turn it on properly (you have to wait until the red light stops flashing, then press the side-button closest to the middle of the board) I don't think you should have any problems.Just such a shame that a small Kickstarter product like this is getting such a bad rep on Amazon - when it really is a remarkable piece of kit!I would wholeheartedly recommend LattePanda to anyone! If I have any issues with it in future, I shall update my review.

２０２３年５月購入のモデル。今まで何度か同製品を買っているが、GPIOのところに張られているラベルがまた変わっていた。＜問題点＞１．日本語化できない２．windows updateができないこの２点につきます。日本語化は「Add Language」で日本語を追加し、OptionからLanguagePackをダウンロードしようとしたが、なぜかネットワークにつながっていないと表示され、LanguagePackのダウンロードができないため、日本語になりません。（ネットにはWiFiでつなげています）また、WindowsUpdateもシステムファイルの破損が疑われるエラーが発生しております。Win10になってからそういったエラーは頻発しているようで、製造時点での問題なのか、たまたま入っているWin10がそういったダメな子だったのかまでは判別できませんが、最悪はOSイメージの焼き直しが必要そうです。直近のモデルは問題がありそうです。
