PENGUIN Revolting Rhymes (Colour Edition)

I must confess I only bought this book after seeing the phenomenal tv adaptation. I am really pleased I did though. Reading this book is a constant joy, and more so since it has become her favourite bedtime story.Roald Dahl, so it is whitty, cheeky and immensely entertaining. The artwork is also delightful. I must also confess that on a few occasions once my daughter has fallen asleep, I have continued to read on for my own delight.

I was introduced to Ronald Dahl books when I was a child and had loved him ever since, this is one of my favourites, in primary school our year performed a play on some of the stories in this book and it was such a joyous time, my classmates, teachers and audience laughed so hard we cried, its was just so funny and appealed to every age. Love it.

I ordered Revolting Rhymes for my Grandson it when it arrived I started reading it myself. It really is so funny. Goldilocks I think was my favourite but everyone is excellent and so well done. I definitely recommend this book.

Such a funny book- the old fairytales all re written in a mischievous way. The book I most often give as a gift- to children and adults, and they all tell me they enjoyed it. I always have three copies in stock in case I meet someone who hasn’t read it!

I remember reading this as a child and I bought it for my daughter as she is a big Roald Dahl Fan and she is mesmerised by the different telling of famous fairy tales. I would definitely recommend this for any budding readers!
