Thought Id be a smart arse and order myself a front zip shorty. My reasoning behind this clever idea was to hopefully manage to finally get a wetsuit on without anyone helping me zip up. So when it arrived today, I was ecstatic to find it of good quality, and it seemed the right size. Bonus!I waited eagerly for my husband to go to work, and off I popped upstairs to try it on. Legs in, yes! Arms in with a wee bit of bendy works going on, finally in, YES! wee pull together at the breastickles, breath in, IT FITS! Wooopeeee! Delighted. Wee shimmy round the bedroom, wee touch of the toes to make sure I can bend down without having an aneurysm. Wonderful.Heating on, getting a wee bit hot, time to come off. Zip down, braw. Time to get it off the shoulders. Nope. Try again. Nope. Try harder. Nope. Try pulling it down from the back. Nope.Slight panic setting in, I throw myself onto the bed and try grabbing the shoulder from behind and pulling it down, but as its already tight enough to look painted on, theres no pinch room. I try again, thrashing about like what can only be described as a seal climbing onto a rock, desperately trying to peel this tar off my shoulders and let me loose. After spending at least ten minutes shifting shapes like an epileptic hexagon, I stop. Heavily out of breath and sweating like a nun in a sausage factory. At this point I had almost passed out by the extreme perspiration and lack of oxygen but I could feel Ponyo starting to lick my toes which pulled me back to reality. My only save and grace was the carb heavy dinner of lasagne I had eaten which obviously stored enough energy to give me enough strength to make it down stairs, rehydrate and replace some much needed electrolytes back into my system.I stood by the sink, one hand on the counter, trying to talk myself down from the trauma, mopped my wet brow with a damp dish towel and stared out the kitchen window. It was at this point I saw old Mr Brown across the way staring back at me through his bedroom window. I give him a wave and went back to hatching my plan.Im going to have to cut it off, I thought to myself. I dont want to ask my son Lewis, im naked underneath and this is an up close and personal number. I walked through to the downstairs bathroom. Maybe if I have a bath and get it wet, it will be easier to come off?? So I head towards the bath, and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. By this time, my body was completely numb due to most of my circulation being cut off, so I was completely unaware that one of my boobs was hanging out the front of my wetsuit. And just to add insult to injury, the wet dish cloth I had used to mop my brow, had been used earlier to wipe the remnants of the lasagne off the table after feeding time at the zoo which is dinner time with my children, and it had left a sizeable chunk of bolognese down the left hand side of my face.By this point I was questioning all my life choices and needing to pee. I grabbed a towel and approached lewis room, trying to ease the door open gently as to not give the poor boy a heart attack at the vision that awaited him, I gave him a warning call. "Im coming in and I need your help". Now i dont know if any of you have 12 year old sons, but most of them just take the piss as par of the course and mines is no better. He took one look at me and announced to his gamer friends he was online with, that his mom has just walked into the room with a wetsuit on and he needs to help me peel it off. I could hear the squeals of laughter through his headphones from 2 metres away. Lewis just rolled his eyes in utter disgust and told them to give him 2 minutes.......He grabbed the neck from the back and pulled it off with one mighty yank. He didnt even turn back to look at me, he just said. "Please leave" and went back to his game.Ponyo is my dog by the way. She doesnt usually lick my feet but I think she sensed the danger and was trying to resuscitate me.Please remind me to do my research before purchasing anything else from amazon. And please remind me to buy curtains for the kitchen window. 🙈

Product sizing is not as described, buy with caution
I bought the X-Large version of this suit at first as my size (6 feet / 185cm - Weight: 85kg) should clearly fit into the Large suit as described in the sizing guide. My chest size should also have fitted the Large size. Having read the warning reviews of others I decided to get the X-Large just to be safe. It was still quite significantly too small!I returned it to Amazon for the XX-Large - first time I've ever bought anything in that size! - and the XX-Large was also still too small!! The main problem is it just isn't long enough so when worn you can't stand up completely without the suit putting pressure on your shoulders. Which needless to say is not going to be ideal when you need to move your arms for many minutes and hours in the water! So if you're 6 feet and above simply avoid this completely and get something else. I ended up getting an Orca suit elsehwere which was more expensive at about £100, but is so much nicer and actually fits properly.Although this Cressi suit seems to be of an acceptable if not exceptional quality - you get what you pay for! - I have to give this a negative review for all the needless hassle it has caused me when all Amazon/Cressi need to do is put a realistic size guide in the product description.

Well made but sizing not for the wide shouldered
I am 173cm tall, 106cm chest and 79kg. I have full winter and summer shorty wetsuits from Gill which are size L and fit perfectly, I bought this for early morning swims in the Bristol Channel and based on the size chart the XL/V looked perfect. The wetsuit is well made and comfortable, if a bit tight around the upper arms and particularly the thighs. The real problem is taking it off! Getting it off my shoulders is a real workout in itself.Overall, it is well made and good value but if you have broad shoulders and chunky limbs go for an extra size up.

Well worth it.
Bought this for my Open Water Scuba Diving Course in Thailand and it was perfect. The fit was perfect and very comfortable. It kept its shape even after several washes which is a miracle with neoprene. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sizing unrealistic
I ordered 3 sizes bigger than usual as I expected from reviews it would be tight so ordered the largest there was. XXXL/7. There is no way that the sizing is realistic and sadly I have had to return. It arrived promptly and looked well made. Given the research I had done on wetsuits this seemed very good value and would have been ideal for my coastal holiday in May.
