Q: how does this help cold sores?

I don't know if it helps cold sores. My lips get extremely chapped in the winter and even crack. Using this all winter prevents all of that. For my friends that are prone to cold sores, I give them doTERRA essential oils to stop it in it's track!

Q: Has this always been a qty of 1? I swear it was 2 otherwise i wouldn’t have paid almost $6 for it...

it was one but after I factored in time and gas trying to find in my area it was worth it. most stores don't carry anymore and after I factored my time plus gas and how long it lasted , it amounted to pennies, so I consider a great buy the seller is offering. . plus it is a great product. after all the fees for seller I don't mid paying a bit extra to help them survive.

No but the lip balm has a seal over it that had to be pulled off.
