I wanted to hang it from the top of the window as shown in all the pics, and in doing so ..the little black hook broke...so now it's not even usable ...not happy..Wish they had spare parts..wasted money

Got these for a car trip. First impressions were good—they look high quality and have multiple attachment methods. However, they are not very wide (a little more than a foot each), and when I attach them over the window there is a gap that let’s air in and is loud. Additionally, when the sun was shining through the window late in the day, the blinds did little to keep the sun out of our eyes (perhaps 75% of the light comes straight through the blinds themselves). Also, the blinds come with a sticky part on the bottom of the part that pulls out that must serve to give an option for permanent attachment, but if I use the suction cups the sticky part with the protective paper over it (to remove if you use the sticky part) still sticks out and the paper comes off. On a positive note, the button on the side works well to retract the blinds. We returned these.

I took a chance on these after carefully considering the reviews on Amazon. Suffice it to say, I find that the materials of the fabric and the rolling mechanism to be high quality. Surprisingly high quality for this price point! There is a button on the side of the roller to retract the fabric. The locking mechanism when extending the fabric outward is solid. It's like installing a mini-curtain on your window. I am currently using a pair of these on the rear windows of a small SUV. Perfect for that purpose! The only caveat I can think of is that the suction cups seem a bit cheap. They give you 3 extra suction cups but out of the box, 2 of the extras were already deformed and would not stick to the window. Luckily, there were enough good suction cups available to install on my windows without using the adhesive velcro. Happy customer here! If these ever go bad, I intend to buy another pair!

I have tried cleaning the window and applying a little water to the suction cups, but they lose suction within 15 minutes. It is day one, so they should work. But all of them appear deformed upon arrival. I will give it a few days before I actually make the decision to return.
