Biased and missing important events
The way information is presented (Timeline) is really cool. However, most information is missed. Mainly focused on one religion and then all European and American history. Like nothing other happened in world in last 2 millennium. If Hitler and Chengaiz Khan can be mentioned than Salahudin, Turks, Mughals and muslim scientist and africans must also be mentioned.

My 7 year old loves this book.
We watch this show on netflix and she absolutely loves this book. Starting at 4.6 billion years ago, the timeline goes up until 2020 explaining different people and events in history. Brilliant book. Would recommend.

Multiple Uses
I found this book at another bookseller but needed extra copies, hence my Amazon purchase of this title. THE WHO WAS: HISTORY of the WORLD, by Paula K. Manzanero, is my additional text with ESOL students in my zoom class. First, a reasonable cost, so that I could afford a copy for each student. Second, even though my students are adults, the format & vocabulary were sufficient w/out being too childish. Next, they & I liked the coverage of history from ancient cultures through very present events: Asia, Europe, the Americas, the USA, Africa, & the Middle East. Each event covers two pages (hence it is selective, but objectively balanced) w/a running timeline at the bottom of each page, throughout the book, of persons, discoveries, events, developments, wars...great highlights of well-known & lesser known history. I learned history I didn't know as well as perhaps my students! It helped their vocabulary, was a good change from our text, & even will be a book for them to share in their families. I myself have given it as gifts to relatives already. I think it has a potential readership that spans many ages.
