Wow, great support for my back. I wanted something less bulky than Velcro back supports, and if it helped me look and feel less “dumpy”, all the better, right? Even though I measure 44” right at the hip bone, I’m not sure if the chart “hip” was a euphemism for butt which is 47” and corresponds with the clothing size I wear so I went with that size, xl. Now for the magic. Even though I can suck in my belly to be 38”, I can’t breathe and maintain that. My normal relaxed waist is 42” and when the xl cincher arrived I thought oh no, there’s no way. Then it occurred to me to try laying on bed and with only minor struggle was able to get all the hooks in the correct order. Wow, waist went from 42” to 36.5” ! Most important to me was that the compression on my back felt wonderful. It also supports a muscle I strained in low abdomen trying to lift a 40# box of cat litter (got it checked out, not a hernia). Now, I know there are some reviews about the boning and back fat roll on top. Well, it compresses only where it is, areas above and below are going to remain your normal measurements, so yeah, there could be a little back fat muffin effect, and yeah, there may be some poking of the boning into those rolls especially sitting in car. That boning is preventing the cincher from rolling so maybe a different bra with more back coverage to contain that roll would help with the pokey poke. I don’t wear tight slinky clothes so don’t know if the hooks or the back muffin would be obvious, but for casual wear clothing it’s not noticeable. For trimming me down 5.5” and providing compression for my arthritic back, this item is a winner!

I really like this shape wear! It's very breathable and doesn't make me feel sweaty. It's also easy to move in and it really evens everything out. My waist normally is 28" but with the shape wear on it goes to 26". It's nothing crazy dramatic in terms of cinching but I didn't need it to be so it's perfect for my use. The only cons I have with it, is that it pushes but my boobs, which might just be because I'm on the shorter side, I'm 5'3". Also, I wouldn't recommend wearing it against your bare skin, it can get a bit uncomfortable. I wear a tank top/camisole and then put the shape wear on top of it, and it feels very comfortable. I can usually wear it for about 5-6 hours before I start feeling like I need to take it off, but it's not so unbearable that I can't breathe or anything like that. All in all, love it!

I'm short, so the stays dig in because it's a little long for my body. It also runs small. My others are size medium but in this brand I am a large.

Other reviews have mentioned that it is short in the torso but I happen to have a short torso is it works for me. I wear a 14/16 and got the XL. It is snug, which is what I wanted, but it did stretch to close. I found it does support my back which is why I bought it so I am very happy. Will definitely get another to have on hand.

This goes on tight but easy. It flattens somewhat, but not as much as I would expect from a corset. It flattens no more than shapewear. The bones show through the clothes, so tight fitting dresses are out. The whole purpose of wearing this is to be able to wear figure flattering dresses without tummy bulge! What is worse, tummy bulge or everyone seeing the bones, knowing you are wearing a corset!

Too snug

This is very pretty and feels well made. It runs slightly small. I'm 5'4" 225lbs and consistently an XL in pants and shirts. This does clasp however it is very very tight. It's also short. It doesn't reach from my hips to the bottom of my boobs and for that reason it won't work out. Maybe if you have a short torso

I am 5'2 and size 10 and ordered the product in size MI felt it was not long enough in the torso and wasn't tight enough for my waist. Considering replacing it with size S but worried it might be even shorter in length

Great product. We're all worried about packaging these days but to have none at all??? Arrived in the clear plastic with a postage label. Very odd!

El producto perfecto; lo que entiendo es como una prenda “tan intima” no viene dentro de un sobre o de algo que lo esconda… no me parece bien q se entregue en una bolsa transparente donde todo el mundo puede ver su contenido! Es vergonzoso! Esta vez me pilló en casa y me lo entregaron en mano, pero ¿y si lo tuvieran que dejar en un punto de recogida?

By supporting the abdomen it relieves back pain, which is why I have used this product occasionally for years. The construction is good overall, but I find the poking of the boning top and bottom can be a problem. People with longer torsos may not experience this. (If you are looking to smooth your outline it will compress an inch or so, but be aware that the - um - extra - doesn't just disappear - there tend to be folds when you sit or bend, as the boning folds with you.)
