Phonics Ages 5-6: Ideal for Home Learning

I choose this book based on the images which are for a completely different book (comprehension I believe: That shows my lack of it lol). This book is a lot simpler than anticipated for my almost 5 year old, as there is no real practice of phonics in this book... its more of a practice handwriting booklet and there isn't much thinking required at all (see image). The other unfortunate thing is that my daughter must write cursive as per new curriculum and this teaches standard block letters.I give two stars as I love Collins books but I do hope they soon produce a wider variety of books encouraging cursive writing children.

These are excellent books, have bought at least 20 of them and my 3 year old son has learnt so much during lockdown. Definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to help their children with reading and writing.

This is really good. Brought these to use over the summer holidays so my daughter wouldn't forget everything.

I bought this book and a few other from the collection for my 5 year old daughter to use over the summer holidays to keep up with her learning. She loves using them - I don't think she thinks of them as learning, but more as fun. Easy instructions and a great variety of activities. Was delighted to see that they reflected the curriculum
