I bought these to go in my eShoppes RS-75 (reef sump system) and couldn't be more pleased! The original system only comes with one sock. Because they periodically get dirty, it's nice to have extras on hand. Once several are dirty, you can just throw them in the washing machine (NO detergent, and bleach really isn't necessary... if bleach is used, must treat with Prime afterwards to remove chlorine) to get them clean! Completely reusable. Great price! Would definitely buy again!

I have been using the same socks for about 4 years. When I pull them out of the refugium, I rinse the outside of the sock in the sink with the sprayer setting first. Then turn the sock inside out and rinse it again. Then wash them, maybe 2 to 3 socks at a time, with a little bleach, and let dry. I do not put anything else in the washing machine. This has allowed these socks to last for years.

Use for water intake from a stream. When they get clogged from silt and debris I notice my 2500 gallon water tank can't keep full. So I install a new one and I'm good for another 3 months or so.

So far great product. I use to wash my old socks regularly but now I don’t waste my time the new ones have been running for quite a while now and haven’t had to change them out yet.

So far, for the money, not bad at all. I've already washed them at least 2-3x and they're holding up fine, which was my main concern given a few other reviews on here, but seems to be unfounded at this rate. Even if I only got like 5 or 10 uses out of these it would still be a pretty good deal given the quantity and price. If i'd paid a lot for these, i'd probably be complaining more as the material seems a little flimsy and they come folded up and seem to almost keep that fold in memory, not that it matters once it's got water flowing, it just adds to that flimsy kinda feeling, but, after a few washes, that's mostly gone away, and again, for what I paid, it's rather hard to complain. I'm actually kinda liking them even. They do seem to get me a little extra life out of the socks, given they are 16" instead of the more typical 14", and i honestly wonder if they're truly 200 micron or possibly a little higher given the material does seem a little thinner than my other 200 micron socks.Will I be buying these again for my next round of socks? Time will tell. My HE washer seems to be pretty gentle on socks, as I've not even worn out my original sets that were from another seller on here, although those were a heavier material. After the first few rounds of washing, these are still pretty good. I'm still dinging a star because I feel like the material could be a little thicker, and while I get they were trying to save space with the packaging, having them packaged flat rather than all folded up would be a bit nicer as well and probably remove a bit of that flimsy feeling. Would probably pay a few bucks more just to fix those issues, as otherwise they seem pretty decent.

So far so good. Did the 24 hour soaking in purified water to keep the skimmer from going crazy and it worked. First one has been in the tank for two weeks now working just as intended. Bought the 12 pack so it will be a while before I need again, but definitely would buy again.

I have been buying filter socks for 20 years and I have never seen ones that are this low of quality. They are so thin that they tear when you try to turn them inside out to clean them and the sticking comes loose as well
