Simple and they work. I don't have another ph product to compare them to so I cannot verify that these are correct, but I will say this, I bought these to verify a test done on various bottled waters on youtube. The results were not the same. Smart Water was not as acidic as reported on youtube, it came out neutral with these strips. I found my well water to be very alkaline, which was my concern. Now I know why my acid loving plants were not healthy. Now that I add vinegar to my water they are doing much better.

The product came when expected and seems to work just fine. So far everything I test is about neutral on the ph scale. I would have to find some specific high acidic or high alkaline to know if the papers can detect something other than average.

I actually bought these to have on hand for the end of my pregnancy. Sure enough I thought maybe my water broke checked with one of these it said yes. I didn’t have any contractions and your supposed to be in the hospital once waters broke because baby is exposed. Took my time getting ready went in and the dr confirmed my water broke. Very handy tool to have!

What a disappointment. First frustration?? no English explanation - all in Chinese or Japanese or whatever. Are the dark colors alkaline or acid? I don't know. I have personally been on a Toxic Metal Flush program for some time - my strip? yellow - just like urine. Then my patient/husband who has been ill for nearly two years - eats junk and everything else because he has lost over 50 pounds. His strip? yellow - just like urine. My dog's? you guessed it - yellow. So now I have to go to the drug store or somewhere (in my spare time) to find legitimate strips. Shame Shame Amazon - I can't be the first to complain.

I use these strips to determine if my kombucha is at the proper level of acidity. Kombucha is sugars converted to sweet vinegar, should make these things redder than Spiderman's suit. If not, your kombucha sucks. I recommend taking these to places that sell kombucha, and properly testing it. If it stays yellow, that's not good kombucha my hippie fellow.

First of all the instructions are in Chinese, so I had to google the how to use part. Easy, dip in the liquid you're testing and it should change automatically. This did not change. I tested it in water also to see if I was making a mistake. Did not change colors, rather the yellow actually leaked a little. Paper did not change. Tested in lemonade, apple juice. Paper did not change. It's a waste of money. Don't waste your money here.

Directions on the package are some kinda Asian writing. I can't read it and had to look for instructions in English on the old inter webs.
