Love this litter mat. It does a super job keeping the cat litter off of my small bathroom floor. Because it's so large I'm only left with a small pathway into the bathroom, but hardly ever get litter stuck to my feet now. This has been designed with large "holes" which catch much of the litter my cat tracks out from her box. Each day I take a stiff bristled broom and lightly sweep over the mat, knocking down any pieces of litter that may not have already gotten caught in the holes. This helps so any stray pieces won't try to make it off the mat. After that, I sweep my small walkway. I'll normally have no more than 1/2 teaspoon of litter there.The way this mat is made makes it much easier to keep clean than the mats with the top made of curly plastic. It seemed as though I could NEVER get all of the litter out of it. Actually, that type held into alot of litter when I was trying to clean it...although it did allow a good amount of litter to end up my floor throughout the week. My picture shows an area of the mat where I spilled some litter. It also demonstrates how it's easily vacuumed up. I had used the hand attachment. Passing the main sweeper of the vacuum also works, although it'll spit back litter at you and all over the place (even if you have it set onto "bare floor"). That's not a total waste though... you'll just have to manually sweep up what's been shot at you, which isn't a terribly large amount. I'll then throw the mat into my bathtub and will fill the tub with soapy water. It's simple to quickly scrub it with a brush. Next I spray it with some Purell sanitizing spray. After rinsing, it will dry in about an hour.In summation, using this litter mat has saved my feet from alot of pain. But on a serious note, I write my reviews honestly, to hopefully help others with their purchase decisions. That being said, this product is a keeper.

This works great and better than I expected. I had one with those rubbery strings matted up to catch litter (looks like a commercial entry mat) and it worked well but ripped just from moving it around and I could never get all the litter out of it.This catches litter really well and it's easy to shake the litter back into the box. And it washes up easy with soap and water. Water gets stuck in the recesses when cleaning. But it pats dry with a towel or takes a bit longer if air drying.I'd recommend the large. I have medium in front of another litter box and the cats will sometimes hop right past or around it. The large is too big to avoid.The pictures are a litter cabinet I made and placed the large mat in the bottom with a high sided box on top. One photo is a clean mat and the other is after a week of catching litter. With this setup barely any litter gets out. Although I try a medium mat outside to catch stray litter that makes it out.

I have tried several versions of litter mats and this is the one I'm moving forward with. When I replace old ones I will replace them with this. I have 3 cats of my own and I foster so there are many boxes in many spaces. The first set I got were great at trapping litter but TERRIBLE at releasing it and if a cat threw up on them or went outside the box they felt impossible to clean well. Then I tried the kind that has two layers and opens easily and it's better for sure, but it's tricky to get it clean without spilling litter everywhere. There's something very straight forward about this one and I'm surprised how well it traps litter with this design. None of them are 100% perfect, but this is my favorite. Do watch the sizes though because the first time I bought one that was kind of hilariously tiny.

This mat is a nice material and my cats had no problems using it. However, it came with one end curled and it never truly flattened out which made it hard to position. In the end, we ended up going back to our original mat

Might sound funny... but this is one of thee best purchases I've made on Amazon. (Well, for my cats at least.) These mats are brilliant. You're supposed to flip them "upside down", so there are holes to "catch the litter/food", not the other way around.I initially bought the extra large for the litter box. I had a shower mat under it before, and the litter still made it's way onto the floor from time to time. Yuck. This mat has solved all of those problems. It fits perfectly underneath the large-sized litter box, with plenty of exterior space to catch the litter that's kicked out, into the little holes. Then you just dump back in, if any does build-up on the mat.I was so pleased with this product, I came back and ordered a size medium as well, to go under their food dishes. My girl cat is very careful with how she eats. My boy cat, he's a mess, he eats like a bulldozer and would typically get kernels of food all over the floor. The small kitchen mat I had under the bowls before just didn't catch enough. Hopefully this also solves that problem too.The cats are cool with the new mats. Great product. I will recommend to others.

---UPDATE - bought 2 mats at end of October. Mid June now and they are completely fallen to pieces. I think it may be due to direct sunlight exposure; litter box gets morning sun. But definitely do not buy these if your location is sunny; they simply disintegrated and had to throw out.---Bought this to put under the litter box of a sick cat who was occasionally missing the litter box when peeing. This was large enough to catch any accidents and the little pockets prevented any spills. The mat was then very easy to rinse clean. So the deep pockets worked well for me for this, however they can be a bit annoying when litter falls into them which is hard to get out. I use the "Breeze" system which has large pellets and they can get stuck in the pockets, and I imagine a clumping litter would be equally hard to get out as the sides of the pockets are straight up and down. So depending on your cat & needs it may or may not suit.

I had this matt for YEARS. Our cats our messy and over the 8 years we had the first one (purchased in a brick and mortar store) it just became a bit brittle and hard to keep clean. We tried a different matt and it just didn't work out. So we switched back to a tried and true product.

I bought 2 of the medium sized mats. I love how they help trap the litter outside of my cats boxes. Nice and thick, very decent quality. I've recommended these to my family already.

It is a heavy mat and delivered with a lot of white marking which I could not get off!I threw the mat!

I purchased the large size mat and have placed it in front of two litter boxes that I have side-by-side. It is the perfect size for this purpose, and the cat litter tracking now is almost none. I had no issues from it having been packaged in a roll, the edges when unrolled laid in a way that they flatted themselves out after 24 hours. The mat is super easy to lift , channel, and pour scattered litter into the waste, or back into the litter box, and the rubber material will clean easily with the hose when the time comes. The cats don't mind stepping on the mat, which is great. They didn't like the previous mat I had, and would leap out of the boxes and avoid the mat altogether - what a mess! This mat is great, and I definitely recommend it.
