Be very wary of this product.
I had seen another mum with Sophie and thought it looked a great idea so purchased one for my 5 month old. He did really like it, it’s very easy for him to hold and chew on. But I became suspicious when the paint started peeling off her head, I read some reviews about fake Sophie’s and I can’t tell whether this one is and it is supposed to be food grade paint however then I also noticed that tiny particles of the rubber actually come off. I am horrified! I will not be giving this to my baby again and am sending it back for a refund. Not convinced this is a fake or maybe Sophie is not all she is cracked up to be but I would not dream of recommending anyone to give this to their baby! I can’t actually believe they are allowed to sell this!

Dangerous product that breaks off rubber for your child to eat
It seems parents are drawn to this product, I don’t know why. However I would advise you don’tWithin a day of my baby having this he had chewed bits of rubber of it and was consuming it.This is not for a child teething with teeth. Maybe for a baby with just gums but otherwise it’s a hazard.Straight in the bin

A blessing.
My 4 month old was chewing anything and everything he could. I ought him several different teathers but he couldn't keep hold of any of them The shapes were too difficult for his tiny hands and developing grasp function. So when I saw this...with it's handles...i knew I had to vice it a go and I'm so glad I did. He managed to grasp it easily and I could tell he found it very satisfying on his gums. It's small for the price but it's worth it for him to be able to use it without me having to hold it for him.Love it.

Waste of money
I had read alot about this teether that it is made of natural rubber and is the best teether. I had bought a Sophie la giraffe teether for my first baby when she was 4 months old. My baby never used it much and then I lost it.For my second baby I thought I won't buy it, but my baby has a habbit of putting everything in her mouth. She runs behind paper, pencil, anything what she gets her hand on. I felt it is not hygienic and may be need something good to ease her gum pains as she may be teething. So finally I bought it for her when she was 8 months old. It was nicely packed and looked cute, I opened it, she saw it. Put it in her mouth, and then left it. And then never looked at it back. She is interested in everything and pits everuthing in her mouth except for the Sophie la giraffe teether. It is made of natural rubber but it is very hard. I sometimes wonder how has it got the best teether awardIt is over priced at 1800₹ and was a complete waste for me both the times. And mind it since it is a teether it is not returnable
