It might be a good phone on a LAN
I purchased this phone because it says it has built-in support for an L2TP VPN. Unfortunately the configuration lacks a place to specify the L2TP IPSec Secret Key (only user/password) so there is no way it can connect. I attempted to contact LINKNET, but received no response after quite some time. It might be a good phone on a LAN, but that's not what I need and I see no way to move forward with what I have. Documentation is sparse. Web interface to the phone is cool, but again, lacks what you need to do a proper setup. It seems the user community is small otherwise this would be encountered more often and likely solved. If I discover a solution, I'll be quick to update my review and document it for those that follow. I connect to this L2TP VPN from my iPhone, Mac, Windows machine all the time - so it's not a VPN issue

Linknet is misleading consumers about this phone VPN capabilities
I wish there were 0 stars qualification because 1 star is giving the phone too good of a score. The phone is NO VPN capable. The company is misleading the consumer into believing it has VPN. No support whatsoever. I can connect to my server just the usual way in a local network, but hell I could use any softphone to do that!! Please LINKNET take the VPN support out of your claim. I check my routers logs and the phone doesn't even attempts to call the VPN server.
