Good TV
Superb picture quality. The only bad thing is stand position. You can't put a long sound bar in between. Sound clarity is good but not loud so you néed a sound bar with woofer.

Defective piece being sold at a discount
The packaging was done well, however on the screen there were finger prints which showed that this has been incorrectly lifted, and handled, and a used piece (showroom) piece. The screen has slight bent on either edges. It affects the reflections to be curved and not stay uniform like it does through the Center (could be because of poor handling). The picture and motion enhancements seem lacking as judder and stutter is quite evident - Simple things like hand movement, head turn leaves an undesirable affect.I am convinced that this is a low price version of x950g owing to defects and could not be sold at regular discounted price.Buyer Beware ! This product is being sold not in original or expected condition, it is indeed without providing transparency on the defect to the customer.

Sony FALD closest to OLED display
After researching a lot on TVs and looking at displays from the likes of LG, Samsung and Sony, I finally decided to go with this one.Picture quality:The picture quality is absolutely mesmerizing and the color reproduction is true and natural. It can reach upto 1200 nits in peak brightness and in well lit rooms, it's a pleasure to watch. The contrast ratio is pretty good and you get deep blacks and true color range. Despite being a VA panel, the viewing angles were extremely good. The brightness automatically adjusts itself to the surrounding illumination. Though it's a panel which can be extremely bright but will never hurt the eyes when viewing in a dark room. Many reveiws say that there's lot of blooming of the subtitles against black in dark room due to less number of led dimming zones, but surprisingly it is not noticeable at all. The surface of the panel does get little warm when viewed for longer duration but again it's common with most LED TVs. This TV supports Netflix calibrated picture mode which means that the contents on Netflix appear true to its color as captured by the creator. Samsung panels on the other hand has more punchy colors, vibrant and eye candy but totally unnatural. The color saturation is so high that after prolonged viewing, it starts to hurt your eyes. It may look very nice at a glance maybe in the shop or on display, but in actual life viewing, it's a pain to look at.LG panels seemed better in real life viewing than top end Samsung panels but peak brightness is less and appears underlit in a bright illuminated room. Samsung Q80T, Samsung Serif and LG Nano 91, LG C9 OLED models were a good contender but the price point and OS made me think otherwise.OS:Sony has the best Google Android integration than any other smart television advertised as "Android" television. With no bloatwares, the OS is buttery smooth due to optimization and does not stutter at all when channels or apps are switched. With the presence of Google Play Store, options for more than 5K apps can be installed without any hiccups. Children and old found the interface quite easy to use and learnt quickly. The contents are pretty sequentially arranged and very easy to navigate. The only con I found was Sony's remote. It should have been like that of LG's magic remote which is extremely easy to navigate and scroll with a dedicated central scroll button.LG's WebOS is also equally good but lack of Google Android integration, made me think otherwise. Hotstar app on WebOS crashes frequently and many of the apps are supported through their browser interface. Like when you click to open YouTube, their web interface opens up instead of the app itself. Many of the apps are not supported in WebOS. Internal storage is a big issue for LG and Samsung TVs. With time, the apps update themselves occupying internal space and making the OS laggy upon usage.Samsung OS's is equally buggy as compared to Google's Android.Picture Processor:X1 Ultimate processor is probably the best chipset that Sony introduced. Top end Sony Z series models also feature this processor. Though it's a step down from their earlier generation processor X1 Extreme, but technically it's not noticeable in day to day usage. The upscaling of lower resolution content is pretty good. Though 1080p appear softer but HDR and 4K content is a pleasure to watch. Amazon Prime video, Netflix and YouTube contents are absolutely brilliant to watch. Image and video processing is brilliantly handled by X1 Ultimate processor. This processor is a major difference between Sony model 9000H. Though that model 9000H supports HDMi 2.1 and variable refresh rate (VRR with future updates) but 950g has better picture panel and processor. Picture quality had more priority to me than playing games with new Sony PS5 console supported by HDMi 2.1.It's newer model Sony 950H is exorbitantly priced at the moment with hardly any major difference between 950g. On the model 950H, HDMi 2.1 port is not available.Sound:It has multi-acoustic audio which has an additional set of tweeters at the rear of the screen. Sound output of 20W is pretty less for a noisy room with children and crowd. The dialogues are not audible at lower levels and needs to be set at 60% or more. Sony's decision to include only 20W speakers are not understandable. Though the newer model 950H comes with 30W speakers which is hardly a step up from its predecessor. The best way to get good balanced sound is to add a home theatre system via Enhanced Audio Return Channel (EARC) port.Built Quality:The built quality is quite good with very thin brushed gun metallic bezel at the front and textured back in plastics. The front lower bottom has a thin chrome metallic strip running across. If you're not planning to wall mount this device then it comes with two metallic feet which are widely placed at a distance away from each other. In between the stand legs, you can easily fit a soundbar. The rear of the stand legs are covered with plastic openable casing to manage/hide the power or HDMi cables.Value for money:If you're in the market for a good TV, as close to an OLED display, then this is the right choice to go for. OLED display has issues of burn-in from static content display and are quite fragile to handle. You will literally baby sit your TV than enjoy watching it. The lifespan of OLED display is quite less as compared to LED. Maybe in few years time, OLED display technology will eventually evolve more and LED displays will become obsolete. OLED displays at the moment are more expensive than LED displays and the risks involved is greater. So it's a conscious choice for now is 4k with full array LED display. Though it's absolutely a pleasure to watch contents on a OLED display with self lit pixels, they look pretty dim in a brightly illuminated room. It's okay for a bed room but absolutely pathetic for a drawing room where there is sufficient illumination.Since 950g is an old model from 2019, you can take advantage of the amount of discounts offered. Not a wise decision to go with 950H since that is costlier than Sony 950g.The best part of this Sony TV is that it is Made in INDIA and not some cheap Chinese junk.If your budget allows you to buy a TV at this price point, then you can opt for this TV as long as the stocks last with good deep discounts. In official Sony Stores, this model has been taken off from their display. Maybe in another couple of months, this model will no longer be available. This model Sony 950g is an absolute value for money.

grt product, I'm happy....
It's a great product, the video clarity is great, the colors look great, but I don't see the option of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos anywhere in the video and audio settings in this product. The packaging was great. No damage was seen anywhere after opening the product

Excellent & Sony is Sony !!!!
I must say Sony is Sony and no one is comparable either and par wrt all aspects. After doing lot of research finalise this flagship model (compared to Sony X90H pricing and spending few extra bucks you are getting much better picture quality if you are not specifically a gamer, although this is just my personal opinion) and it doesn't disappoint me at all in terms of premium display and sound quality it boasts with. Also a big thumbs up to the seller cloudtail India limited for extremely good and cared packaging and delivering the product in just 1 day and on the same day it got installed by Mr. Satish Sawarkar from Sony service and providing an excellent demonstration. Will review it again once I used the product for couple of months. Thanks Amazon 👍
