I purchased this after seeing new revelation about the subject of prayer in Lynne’s Twitter feed. There is a depth and practicality in Lynne’s writing that I’ve not seen in other books on prayer.I immediately began implementing changes to my prayer life as I learnt new principles in each chapter. Typically I retain one key principle from each book I read. “The Master Is Calling” gave me a key principle per chapter - I’ve genuinely rebuilt my entire approach to prayer in a week.

I purchased this book in spite of some misgivings about the title and the expectations of finding KJV English in it. But it turns out to be much more than just a book about prayer. Lynne Hammond gently leads the reader to discover the joys of being led by the Holy Spirit day by day not only in prayer, but in all other areas of life. By allowing the Holy Spirit to take the leadership, prayer ceases to be a drudgery and becomes an adventure. Time and again the author cuts through ritual, religion and formality and simply encourages the reader to be honest with God about their feelings. She addresses a number of questions Christians may have, like: How can I hear God's voice? or, what is the purpose of speaking in tongues? and addresses them biblically and in such a way that the readers will want to go and try it out themselves. I will recommend this book to my friends.

This is my favorite book in prayer. Well written, anointed, scripturally accurate, personal and the best book out there on prayer. Lynne Hammond is the most genuine pray-er I know.

This is hands down the best book I have read on prayer and I have read many books. Lynne Hammond brings us back to whats REAL. It's easy to go through life praying without a real intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. This causes prayer to become dead, dry and powerless. Christians many times give up on prayer leaving a vast void between themselves and God. People perish for a lack of knowledge. When we truly know our Father and go to that secret place in prayer with Him, our prayer life becomes more powerful than we could ever have imagined. I have given this book as a gift around 13 times. Do yourself a favor and order it!!!

I read this book over ten years ago and it is an amazing work on prayer. Lynne Hammond is truly gifted in this area, and this book will surely teach anyone how to develop a closer relationship with God through direct communication with Him. Yes, you can actually talk to God and even more amazing than that, God will talk to you. Do want want to be an intercessor? Do you feel God telling you things and just don't know quite what to do about it? Read this book!!!I've recently re-read this book and bought these to give away. It will change your life.

Enjoyable writing style.I am using the book for a Small Groups Bible Study. Excellent basis for learning the importance of including the Holy Spirits help in our life long spiritual journey.

This is an excellent book on prayer if you are seriously in need of moving on in your prayer life. This is my second copy. I have had the first for many years and have found it to be a wonderful resource. When you buy this book you are making an investment in your life, in your prayer life and in your relationship with God.
