It fit, it worked
I needed a 20 amp 2 pole breaker with 2 single pole breakers on the side and this was what I needed.

Space-saver circuit breaker
This is a Murry Triplex circuit breaker. It occupies two full-sized slot in the panel. Each slot is 1", and this occupies 2" total on the panel. This is essentially four half-width circuit breakers riveted together, with the center pair physically connected together with a metal tie bar. Since power is fed to the panel with two interleaved "combs" with opposite poles of the 240V supply, a double pole breaker needs to span two adjacent slots. The 'Triplex' configuration allows supplying power to a 240V load, along with two independent 120V loads while still using only two slots. The maximizes the number of circuits than can be fed from a panel. There is an alternate configuration of this same breaker called a 'Quadplex'. It's exactly this assembly with a second external metal tie bar that connects the outer two breakers so that they trip and reset simultaneously. It provides two double-pole (e.g. "240V") circuits. The only difference is the additional external tie bar and the printed label. If you want four independent circuits, you can simply use two 'duplex' breakers, which are two half-width breakers riveted together sharing a single panel contact.Note that these breakers are only approved for Murray/Crouse-Hinds/Siemans panels. They fit many other panels with 1" slot spacing, but aren't approved. A "listed" breaker is a type that the sticker inside the panel or instruction sheet explicitly lists as compatible. A "classified" breaker is one that the breaker manufacturer had tested for safety with various brand panels. These aren't "classified" (in other words, tested and documented) so your local code inspector will probably flag using them on other brand panels. Especially panels that don't anticipate double-density breakers, and don't have enough neutral and ground tie-bar clamps, enough wire routing space and enough knock-outs.

Quality Control problem
Bought this for new washer dryer circuit on electric panel with limited space. One of the single pole breakers is defective--trips when connected to any load. The Double pole breaker works and I was able to combine 2 other circuits into the other single pole circuit. Less than ideal but works.

The picture does not match the item. The item ...
The picture does not match the item. The item is as described in the text and the reviews below. The picture is for a different-sized breaker.

perfect breaker for tight panel BUT.....
Some Murray panels are equipped to handle this breaker. Check inside the door panel for "double wavy lines". I (sadly) did not. Very usable breaker, just make sure your panel will except it. Live and learn.

Works perfectly as expected...
It's a circuit breaker; replaced existing ones to get a new 240vac circuit. It turns on and off just as one would expect.

Cheaper than home depot and works as it should!

Functional, but serious drawbacks
This unit came with no ampere ratings marked on the handles. The rating is marked on the side, but I had to use a label maker to mark the individual breakers. The terminal screws turned with GREAT difficulty. WD-40 to the rescue.
