The Brauler

Specifically designed for keeping beer fresh. Lid seals well and it's easy to clean with the large mouth. Great product.

This is one nice growler. It's a little expensive but well worth every penny if you want to travel and keep your brew nice an cold. Easy to clean and the lid keeps your beer fresh.

Product itself is great. We use it a lot for camping trips. Beer stays fresh for 48hrs. However, most breweries will not fill the Brauler because you cannot seal the top (required by law). Most places heat seal glass growlers before giving the growler back to you. This prevents the brewery from being held liable in case you are incredibly stupid and decide to get in your car, open said growler, take some gulps, and drive your car. The Brauler would earn 5 stars if there were an option to purchase a version allowing for proper seal after each fill.

I purchased a Brauler at a local brewery, and I am happy with my decision to purchase it. I have spent years lugging glass growlers around to parties, beaches, out camping, etc, and I'll never do it again. It's exactly what it looks like: a large stainless steel bottle with some heavy-duty threading for the cap which does a terrific job keeping beer carbonated - as opposed to 2-3 days with a glass growler, a Brauler keeps beer fizzy for a good 2+ weeks (if you don't drink it sooner!). Though I only eyeballed, it appears the walls of the Brauler are much thicker than a Kleen canteen, and it looks like it was designed to take some serious use. It's far easier to keep clean and sanitized, and you don't have to commit to drinking a half-gallon of beer in a couple of days just so it doesn't go flat. I'm sure it'll do just as great a job hauling cider, wine, and plain old water around too. What more could you ask for?Well, a couple of things, but they're trivial: The coozy and carrying strap are a nice feature, though I don't care much for the plastic hooks and would have been happy to pay extra for something more durable. I expect they'll snap given sufficient abuse, but even if/when it happens it's still way better than dropping a glass bottle with 64oz of beer in it - or trying to carry it with a finger through the little glass loop. The large cap is well designed, but years of working with my hands makes it difficult to put too much torque on my wrists without pain, and it takes a bit of oomph to get the cap off when it's tightened down. With my Kleen canteen I usually just use my penlight to wrench the cap open, but that's not an option with this cap.Like I said - trivial things, that in no way should deter you from purchasing this product if you regularly buy carryout beer from your local brewery. If your local sells these, buy one there! The listed price of nearly $78 is expensive compared to the $50 I paid for mine at the brewery.

I had several growlers over the years that either leaked, lost carbonation or were impossible to keep sanitary.Finally got this Brauler and it is airtight and dishwasher safe (it has wide neck so it's just like washing a glass). The freshcap system I've only had to use a couple of times, but once was after the brauler was in the fridge for a while (about 3 weeks) and it was good as fresh poured pint.Comes with it's own sleeve/strap so easy to lug around (it's a lot lighter than it looks).

These are great, big upgrade from traditional glass growlers. Stays colder longer, more durable and with the freshcap accessory, you can pressurize the brauler to keep the beer fresh.
