Connex804 8-Speed Chain - 114 Links

I installed the chain on my Giant Contend with Shimano Claris 8 rear sprockets and it was the quietest ride I can remember. Shifting was perfect. Being nickel coated, I expect the chain to stay rust free. I started using Connex Wipperman quick-change links 6 months ago, so thought I'd try a full Connex chain, and I'm glad I did. I will order duplicate chain soon.Prior to this I tried a Zonko chain, with poor results.

I've been running this chain on a Bullitt Cargo bike with electric motor. Bike and rider(s) have been up to 300 lbs. total, climbing short hills of up to 10% grade, running over 1000W of power into the drivetrain (e-motor and my legs combined). My fear was that a regular chain might break under such loads, and I'd read online that this Wipperman chain is preferred for e-bike, high-load applications. So far, I've not been disappointed. Strong chain.

However, it developed surface rust after a wet ride. WD-40 and a toothbrush made it like new, and a fresh coat of oil should keep it from happening again. It feels very sturdy. I think I may have found my go-to chain if I ever wear this one down.

Does not work with 11t rear cog. Manufacturer unresponsive

Nice chain for the price.The quick link worked easily.Nickle finish looks great and helps with the corrosion hear in long beach.

Great for bikes used in training.It is quite durable when basic maintenance is observed.Keep chain clean at all times, especially after riding in rain or through water.Prolink lube works well for me.

Nice quality chain. I'd suggest the Wipperman Connex Connect link as well.

Seems like a good chain. After breaking a SRAM, this looked like a stronger replacement. The connecting link is nicely done.
