These little guys worked out great, very strong too. Update, one of the magnets cracked inside the housing and pulled right out in pieces. Another magnet pulled right out of the housing.

I built a fabrication table with a 1/2" steel work surface. I didn't want to drill holes for a vise in case I wanted to repurpose the steel someday and also wanted the flexibility to remove the vise to make use of the entire work surface, so I thought I would give these magnets a try. They are very strong and the vise doesn't budge. In fact, I need to use a good pry bar to remove it. The only complaint I have is the studs are 13/16" and not 1" as stated in the description, so I had to mount the magnets to a 1/4" steel plate and mounted the vise to the plate. Still a 5 star purchase for me though.

I was really worried these would be too powerful to mount my M12 work light but it worked perfectly.

Very stong, hard to pull off steel item once attached. Need to slide to the edge to lift off. Perfect for holding up tools on my grill.

I'm going to use these to hang something on a metal wall. Good utility within the design limitations.

Its difficult to put into words exactly how strong these magnets hold. Out of several I've tried, these seem to be the strongest holding - nearly permanent strength but still removable.I have used these for mounting secondary HVAC transformers where I can't easily drill into the metal panel, mounting wireless thermometers to high vibration fans and equipment where it may be damaged to drill in, as well as temporary mounting of meters or other equipment to metal panels.The 1/4-20 thread makes it easy to affix small devices, lights, etc which have camera tripod 1/4-20 thread, as well as the nut/washer allowing mounting of most things with a thru-hole. I have also had a couple things where the thread was too long and I was able to cut it short with a hack-saw and worked great.

These are great to use on the side of my fridge for light 'hanging' objects. It is a four pack and you simply assemble the hooks. Can be used on any steel smooth surface for lightweight needs. Good for indoor use. Thank you

These magnets are very strong and were a perfect solution to mount my rear view camera.
