Mitutoyo293-348-30 Digimatic Micrometer, IP65, 0-1"

Like the quality of these compared to many other cheap mics. 3 /4 decimal places metric/english. Easy to set zero. The repeatability of mitutoyo equipment is really their stand out selling point. You have to spend much more to get the same or better measuring ability these offer. They do have a water/coolant proof version for more $. And if using these in a production environment every day where oils, coolants, or water is present and everywhere than I recommend the coolant proof mics they offer. You don't want to have to keep spending $ to replace mics you tried to save $ on every two months when you could have just bought the more expensive ones to begin with and have them last years.

Nice size and feel.. substantial enough weight to steady your hand yet good ergonomics and easy to read the display.. this unit was calibrated and approved by the quality lab in just over an hour.. it is doubly accurate with the analog reading on the barrel exactly matching the first three digits on the digital display.. happy with my decision to go with the slip tension as opposed to the ratchet top which is purely personal preference..

I like this multimeter. Has all the features I need for a starter machinist micrometer. Nice seeing such accurate resolution. My company had gage blocks from .005 all the way up to 1.000 and the 100 blocks in that set I got a feeling for consistency from all them. And it reads correctly on every block. I love it.

I couldn't be happier with this LCD mic. It came zeroed out properly, no adjustment needed. Big fan of the friction thimble over the ratchet. As accurate as I'll ever need to be. Legendary Mitutoyo quality and a great price.

I primarily use it to size pellets for my air rifles. Once I have found what works i measure the head and set up my pellet sizing tool to accurate mimic the original size. Has helped me to close the groups up in my shooting

As far as I can tell pretty darn precise. I don't have expensive gauge blocks to use as a reference, but the measurements are similar to what I obtain using my other digital calipers.Also, feels pretty heavy duty.

Just like the caliper. You hate the price, but you like the accuracy.

Works exactly as expected. Love it.Though I think it's slightly possible the (blades? Whatever they're called) to weren't machined perfectly, as sometimes it feels like it's rubbing the parts against the edge of the blade. Like there's a very minor burr on them.I can't see any defect under magnification or shadow micrometer though.

I paid extra for it to be calibrated and with certificate and it was not even at zero when I opened the box. It was quite off actually fully closed. The device is on point after you zero it yourself. Do not get the calibration your paying for a sticker that doesn't prove anything.

Hello thanks fine product excellent tool for engineering but no standard gauge for setting ?

A great improvement over my previous import digital mics but not perfect. I would prefer a mic that had a non-rotating anvil.
