Creality 3D Original Ender 3 Z-Axis Upgrade 2040 Profiles Kit with Two 50CM Aluminum Extrusions and Lead Screw Enlarging 10CM Printing Space for Ender 3/Ender 3 Pro/Ender 3 V2

Since adding a Microswiss extruder, I lost ~50mm in height. Now I got plenty of height for printing action figures! I bought a duel Z kit and another one of these for the drive screw. I know I could've just bought the screw alone, but I like having spare parts. Heck, I might be able to build another printer with all the parts I have.

Beware the rod is 50 mm shorter than the bar, I was not aware of this, but is good quality, and works like a charm!

Somebody ordered this package before me changed out the original OEM parts and put back the small parts upgrading their kit and returning the OEM brackets which I bought therefore these parts are useless outstanding purchase not pleased at all! Owner of 3 ender pros and this is what I get.

I just purchased a Creality Ender 3 V2 3D printer and decided to install a bunch of upgrades when I first assembled it. The extended Z-rail kit was not one of the more popular mods but I liked the idea of a slightly higher build envelope so I decided to try it.The quality of this kit is excellent. The parts are indistinguishable from Ender 3 stock parts except that they are longer. The kit includes a left and a right Z-rail, an extended length lead screw and a few other parts such as a new lead screw nut. Note that these parts completely replace the existing stock Z-rails and lead screw- they do not extend them.Installation was very simple. Effectively there is no difference between installing the original parts during initial assembly and installing this kit. The only other change is to modify your printer's maximum z travel in software.The one issue that I encountered was that the cable length for the hotend was just barely long enough to reach the farthest travel of the X-carriage when at max Z height. I had to cut the ties holding the cable and Bowden tube together in order to make the cable reach. Honestly this is not a big deal since nobody is going to be printing at that position very often (ever). Still, it would have been nice if the cable was 1 inch longer.In retrospect I probably didn't really need this mod. The potential print height is kind of ludicrous for the X and Y dimensions of this printer but I like knowing that I have the extra room if I need it. Since I did not run this printer with the original configuration before installing this kit I can not comment on whether it has introduced any additional vibration related issues. My gut feeling is that I really sort of doubt that there was any degradation of print quality just based on how solid the entire assembly is. My first test prints were excellent.In summary I would recommend this upgrade wholeheartedly if you really need the extra print height. If the additional height isn't needed I would probably recommend putting your money towards more cost effective and more useful mods such as new bed springs and better Bowden tubing first.

I love it! This mounted perfectly, added just enough height, and its still solid. Yes, that extra height made the difference for me. Very good price too.
