My favorite flavor and roast
I have tried double chocolate, which is my second fav, and a few of the med and darker roasts but Maya is my overall fav. Roast/blend. Seems they have added More cinnamon in the last batch I received and I’m loving it even More. I won’t lie, initially, the flavor took some getting used to - it’s not the typical hot chocolate you find in the store or make homemade. But I continued to drink it bc I felt the benefits and the the taste grew on me and is something I look forward to now. It’s not nasty - it’s just different. Anyway, Maya has the perfect cinnamon and chocolate flavor with a hint of a spicy kick which I absolutely love! I have never been a coffee drinker but I love a nice cup of tea, milk and honey but now I look forward to a cup of hot cocoa, milk and honey every morning! It offers a mental boost of happiness, the food carvings have gone away and I have a good sustained energy all day. It offers a good, healthy serotonin boost! I am overall Healthy and put good things into my body and I can tell that Crio Bru is pure goodness for my mind and body!

The way chocolate was meant to be!
Sure, Crio Bru has issues as a company so don’t bother with their customer service but if you want hot chocolate and you’re not a disgusting sugar addicted lump, this is the going to make your life yummy. I’m a light roast coffee drinker and my fav Crio Bru flavors are Highlander Grogg, Double Chocolate, Mayan Chocolate. The Nicaragua and a few others really taste like the processing facility is full of chain smokers, don’t bother.

theres cinnamon somewhere....
we bought this to have when some of our friends come over who cannot have coffee. it brews very differently than coffee and must be brewed on a slow/strong setting. it also must be brewed in a metal basket not a paper filter... that was messy. the brew itself is muddy and oily, and tastes like hot cocoa that has been made at 1/4 strength. overall its not horrible. but it is not easily brewed because of the mess it tends to make, the oils make the cup unpleasant. it also molds very quickly like if you don't clean the filter immediately then you can almost expect to get mold. so if you brew a pot for dessert it will be starting to mold by breakfast. which makes the viability of the liquid suspect too. its too much for my wife and i to drink in a sitting and we cant save it to the next meal time without questioning its integrity. as for the cinnamon and pepper flavor i don't taste it. i see more oil on top of my cup than with the other flavors but i don't taste a difference.

Coffee alternative samples would be nice.
It smelled great. The flavor taste was not to my liking. Mixed with reg coffee notto waste money.

Absolutely delicious
First, you need to actually love dark chocolate and cayenne because those flavors shine through. That being said, for those of us who do love those flavors, this hits the mark! I found it to be incredibly delicious and sipping on it was almost a ceremonial experience. I would highly recommend.

Overall a great product but the cayenne is too distinct in the Maya, going to try the Cavalla
I like the product and the notion that it has a strong chocolate flavor and gives an energy boost without caffeine. With our little Mr. Coffee and a gold filter, I find I have to use a lot to get the bru strong enough (I can't control the speed like the instructions recommend.). I've even rebrewed (poured it back into the tank for a second bru) to get it dark enough to drink. I think the cayenne pepper is a little to spicy so I'm going to try the Cavalla.

I LOVE THE CAYENNE/CINNAMON/CHOCOLATE MIXTURE!
I do not like a LOT of heat in my spicy foods, so I had to talk myself into trying the Maya light roast. I was WOWED when I finally tasted the Maya cacao drink. It was very chocolatey with just the right blend of cayenne and cinnamon added to the drink. The cayenne gave a perfect, delightful, warm aftertaste; the cacao was so yummy, and the cinnamon was like the cherry on top. This will be one of my very favorite Crio Bru Flavors. THANK YOU CRIO BRU!

Very happy
It was delicious, a little pricey and not decaf. However, still a good product and if you don't mind the price a very good purchase.
