I love tech and doing tech reviews. I have a lot of high-dollar, high-quality gadgets like TV's, computers, cameras, and more, and I am now realizing that no matter how good, or how expensive the tech gadgets are, if you do not have good, high-quality cables, your devices will NOT give you the top quality that they are supposed too. I do a lot of tech reviews on my YouTube and Facebook channel "OndaWire" and I am now considering doing a review on these cables by Austere. Let's talk about some pros and consPros:1. THE PRICE! I've compared several "8K HDMI" cables and there are ones out there priced much higher than this one, and this Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable blows them away with the resolutions and other features! I have an 8K HDMI cable that cost $159 and this Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable is so much better!2. This supports Dobly TrueHD 7.1. This is what my expensive surround sound system is supposed to sound like. My walls rattle when we watch a movie and it now truly feels like whatever we watch, is like watching at an IMAX theatre. This truly makes surround sound and that little small noises that you normally don't hear, sound so real! This Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable is a MUST have when you buy an HDMI cable. Don't cheat yourself!3. When using the HDMI cable that my 70" LG Ultra HD 4K tv came with, I will say that I "thought" my picture looked good and I really never had any complaints from anyone. When I started trying out different higher quality 4K and 8K HDMI cables, I instantly saw an AMAZING DIFFERENCE! After hooking up this Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable to my TV, WOW WOW and WOW! I recently purchased the Austere V cable a week previous to purchasing this Austere VII. The improvement in picture and sound with the Austere V was so remarkable, I decided to try this cable. The sound remained as good as the Austere V, but the picture with this Austere VII was worse. Compared to the V, the picture was fainter looking, with less “pop” to the color.I’m VERY critical of my home theater picture, but the difference compared to the Austere V was immediately worse. My home theater setup is the latest AppleTV 4K & Panasonic 820 4K blu-ray player, Denon AVR 3600H receiver (used only as a processor with external amps) and Epson 6050UB projector feeding a 4K HDR picture to a 103” screen in a dead dark room.I have since ordered another Austere V, because it’s positive impact was profound.

Ok, so you can use these for anything HDMI-related, but common, this $100 cable is reserved for the best of the best, and for me, that is my next-generation console. Sorry guys, but since this is my very first super expensive cable, I just had to take a bunch of photos to preserve the moment. I remember the days when I used to scoff at those $150 Monster cables while browsing at Best Buy, and here I am eating my own turd - I'd never thought I'd turn into one of those guys, but here I am. Time does change everything.Anyways, so I got these to prepare for my next console, but I did test it on some other things, such as my Blu-Ray player, and even my PS4 Pro, and it works fine. I really liked that it came in a nice and luxurious box - I guess that's what happens when you cost about five times more than other plebeian cables.Remember, this is not your standard HDMI cable - it is HDMI version 2.1, which can output 4k/120 resolution, and up to 8k/30. What's pretty neat is that it is not fat like most HDMI cables, but is almost like a fat braided USB cable. They said the cable is Kevla-reinforced, and the ends are gold-plated. I'll let you decide for yourself from my photos. I can't prove any of their claims, but I can vouch that their material quality is superb. When the PS5 comes out, I will update this review with a video.PS- remember that your sources must support the 4k/120 and 8k/30 HDMI 2.1 resolutions, such as the 2020 versions of LG OLED TVs.

Well, the good news is that the the Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable 1.5m | Ultra High Speed HDMI, 48Gbps cable performs like a true champion while using a PS5 running at 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. What else could a girl ask for, right? Well, perhaps a little lower price for one thing.This cable is expensive, and it does what any other cable that meets the HDMI specification can do. HDMI is a digital transfer. The signal either arrives correctly or doesn't. Judging different HDMI cables is similar to judging how JPEGS look when sent over different Ethernet cables - either the bytes arrived or they didn't. The JPEG will look the same if it worked at all, right?So what are you getting for that price tag exactly? You are getting the luxury treatment. The packaging for this product is outstanding! I felt like I was opening up a Rolex watch, not a simple HDMI cable. Everything is luxurious here - the box materials, the velvet lined cable holder, the instruction book. Fine fine quality.And this cable will most likely hold up over the course of a lifetime. The craftsmanship is outstanding. It looks great and meets the latest 8K HDMI standards, so it has a lot of future. If visible, the braided shielding looks beautiful. You are paying a hefty price tag, perhaps too hefty, but the quality is certainly here.So if you have a bill to throw at luxury HDMI cables, then this one comes highly recommended. If you are on a budget, however, you can find alternatives that perform an identical function.
