Advantage of pencil
I'm enjoying how this allows me to navigate my Ipad and cell phone without the dreaded sumges. I'm not constantly cleaning the screens.

Replacement tips
Really like this stylus. It sits magnetically on top of my iPad, and functions well. I give it only 4 stars because, like with others here, the tip came off too easily. Mine got lost. The manufacturer told me in an email that they not longer make replacement tips, but I should try the internet.Luckily there are tips that fit. Here on Amazon, an elago tip probably fits. I found some like that on Etsy (not sure what brand they are) that fit this stylus.

A great magnetic stylus

Just what I wanted - with one caveat
I recently replaced my ancient first-gen iPad Air with the Mini 6. I had a very old Amazon Basics capacitive stylus but wanted something magnetic. I am not an artist, nor do I ever expect to use handwriting for note-taking. I just want something to scroll and tap without finger smudges. For that I can't justify the actual Apple Pencil.I tried a cheap electronic alternative but it quit working in days. I returned it for this Targus one that is just like my old stylus but slimmer and it magnetically attaches to the iPad so it is always handy.In other words perfect for my needs and a good price.BUT, I have one little issue. I am right handed and as I drag it across the screen tilted to the right the tip tends to unscrew itself. It actually came completely off and nearly got lost. I now make certain the tip is screwed on tight. If it happens too often I may apply some loktite to the threads.

The magnet is a great idea but tip degrades quickly
I bought this because of the magnets so I can attach it to the ipad when I’m not using it. But after 3 months, the little soft tip has degraded down to nothing. It won’t last.

Awesome stylus!
Never read the part about it being magnetic! When I turn it over and shake my tablet it doesn't budge. Big plus!
