Great pitcher

This pitcher is advertised as having a tight seal. That is almost true. When shaking to mix juice, several drops splash out. Remember not to shake cranberry juice when wearing a white blouse.

This is perfect for my use. I blend my organic protein powder in a blender then add it to this container. Just the right amount and keeps it fresh.

A quality Rubbermaid product and the perfect size for me.

I would love this if the lid wasn’t so easy to push down past the little ridge making it difficult to turn the lid to an opening and impossible to get the lid off. It would have also helped to be a little taller so it would be an actual 2 qt. Without the liquid coming up between the pitcher and lid.

I have two large plastic pitchers, which I fill with ice tea. I keep at least one in my refrigerator all the time, as we do seem to drink a lot of ice tea, especially in the summer. One (non Rubbermaid) pitcher eventually became permanently stained with tea, and I had to get rid of it. The other pitcher is a Rubbermaid jug that I have used for more than six years and it still looks good. I liked this pitcher so much that I decided to see if it was still available, by searching Amazon. Much to my surprise they still make this pitcher, so I bought another one.I find that my two red lidded Rubbermaid pitchers are easy to clean, and obviously last very well, despite continual use. I make ice tea directly in a pitcher, by placing an extra large tea bag in the pitcher and adding about two or three cups of boiling water to the pitcher. I let it seep for 10 to15 minutes, and then fill the pitcher with tap water. I let it cool in the refrigerator, until it is cold enough to drink.I highly recommend this excellent pitcher. I am not sure how long my pitchers will last, but so far, they have more than paid for themselves.
