Puts Bose & Beats to shame
I'll give you the TL;DR first:Pros:Lightweight, adjustable in both size & pressureGreat sound with tight punchy bassBuilt-in microphone with volume & play/pause controlLow priceFolds up compactly for storageSytlish (funky & retro is in after all)Lifetime warranty!Cons:Leaks sound like crazyIt's hard to cram these into the included carrying caseThese headphones aren't just good for the price, they're darn good headphones period. I heard a pair of Porta Pros in Best Buy years ago and was wowed by the sound quality. However, since my iPhone had replaced my MP3 player, the only headphones I ever considered buying were those that also doubled as a headset. Back on the rack they went. Fast forward a few years and I see Koss has updated their iconic Porta Pro to include an in-line mic. But would they sound as good as I'd remembered? Amazon had (and has) them on sale so I figured why not take the gamble? The gamble paid off: I love these 'phones. They sound very similar to my Sennheiser PX-100IIi's but with a bit more bass punch and a little less clarity. I've talked on the phone several times with the Koss' and no one has trouble hearing me. The buttons on the KTC work without issue, though it would've been better if the buttons were raised for better tactile feedback. Other reviewers have alluded to the difficulty in using the KTC, but really it's certainly not any worse than other headset I've tried.I prefer the sound of these to my Bose QC 15 and the Beats Solo I owned (till the headband snapped) which cost $350 and $200 respectively, and didn't include a warranty. I'll add though that the Bose still excel when it come to noise-cancellation (which is why I bought them). The headphones are pretty comfortable, and are adjustable not only in size, but ear pressure. They're very light too. Between their weight and grip, I can actually run while wearing these headphones and they won't slide off my head or slide around. Some people will love the styling of these phones. Others will hate it. I think it's pretty cool that Koss has kept with the design all these years. I was in Paris a couple of years ago too and it seemed like everyone was sporting Porta Pros (seriously, 1/3 people with non-earbud headphones had some) and all the shops carried them).Bottom line: these headphones sound as good if not better than many that retail for $200+, they're inexpensive, compact, sound great off a portable player, and have a lifetime warranty. If you're looking for a good pair of headphones for your phone/mp3 player, this is the place to start.*For those who may've read my previous review, I am no longer having issues with the volume control and haven't for months. Not sure why it magically fixed itself.

Outstanding. One of my favorite tech purchases
I bought these after reading several glowing reviews. I was, however, skeptical. The whole vintage/throwback thing sounded like a gimmick and I had a hard time believing that a product so old was really of such high quality. I own a pair of Skullcandy Aviators, which I like very much, but needed a lighter weight, lower maintenance headphone. While I'm not a huge headphone fanatic I have owned and handled quite of few of the more popular brands and think I can tell the difference in quality between brands. I decided on the Porta Pro KTS, because I listen to music on my smartphone (Android, Samsung Galaxy Note 2) and needed a lighter, lower maintenance headphone that I could also talk into. All I can say is that I'm blown away with this purchase. The sound: OUTSTANDING. Definitely comparable to, or better than products far more expensive. A range of sounds and styles of music play clearly. Very clear and can crank up and get loud when I need them toAs far as the build: the lightweight feel is so inconspicuous that I barely know that I have headphones on (I've had them on for hours at a time). I've worn these jogging and to the gym; surprisingly they are the best gym headphone that I've ever worn, because they have great sound and are so light. Just because they are thin and small does not, however, mean they are cheaply build. They are actually very well-built. The key is the simplicity. And the ability to fold up into such a small size makes storage a breeze. They can fit in a small coat pocket. The look: its a matter of taste, I guess, but I really like them. I'm not always into vintage looks but there's an undeniable charm to these. The remote control: I honestly don't use all the functions on the remote and only need the microphone, which is very clear. People are surprised to hear that I'm using a headset at all. This is one of my favorite tech purchases of the past few years.

Great addition, on paper
Let me just start by saying that I also own the non-iOS version of the Porta Pro, which is one of my favorite sets of headphones. The sound quality is amazing, especially for the price. These sound the same, and seem to even have slightly better build quality at the jack. I've shorted out my others at the jack just from normal use, but not these (knock on wood). The mic also seems to work well for making phone calls.I was really excited when this version came out because of the remote, but I have to say that there are a lot of design problems. First of all, the shape of the remote portion causes it to occasionally get caught on my shirt collar and yank at my headphones. Part of it may be the positioning, but I've never had this issue with other in-line remotes. Second, there are plastic separators between each button, so all three buttons are flush with one another. It's very difficult to use the center button without looking at the remote or accidentally changing the volume instead. It's annoying, but the convenience of being able to use this as a headset has kept me from going back to the old pair. If you use a headphone amp or anything other than an iPhone as your music player, stick with the classic. But if you really need that inline controller and mic, you may be in for some initial growing pains while you get used to its flaws.

Pretty worth it
good:- lightweight- fits over my glasses nicely, doesn't hurt my ears much (unless i were to wear it for Hours and Hours on end)- 360° sound. asmr is so good on this- good balance of treble/bass etc- looks super cute, very "dont touch me I listen to cool music"bad:- thin wires. not sure how fragile it is though- 0 noise cancelling. if you're standing next to a road, you can barely hear the music- sound leaks like crazy.
