Pioneer PLX-1000 Gold

Absolutely Gorgeous turntable. The gold is quite special when compared to the standard black one as I checked out a black one at the local Guitar Center before running across this one on Amazon from ProAudioStar. Plays beautifully. Tone arm is damped for lower noise compared to other Super OEMs (I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP1240 also which is quite similar in quality, being a Hanpin Super OEM architecture unit, as is this). Also note that Pioneer advertises same Wow and Flutter spec of +/- .01% when measured in the same manner as the venerable Technics SL-1200. This is tricky to find info on but I managed to run across an SL-1200 manual online and compared it with the Pioneer website spec. Considering the soon to release SL-1200GAE Technics will be 4000.00 and will have a limited run version as well, I'm hoping this beautiful gold version will be a bit of an investment with it's limited edition run of only 1000 units.
