I first heard about the book through his promo of Food x Fire on his Instagram page and I finally gave in and purchased the book for kindle a few months back and I’ve been anxiously anticipating it’s release. This book is everything that is advertised and more. I love cooking over open fire and I think the flavor that wood imparts on the food is incredible that cannot be replicated over a gas grill. Derek breaks down everything from starting a fire to the importance of a well seasoned wood and the flavor you can expect from the different species of wood, and that’s just the beginning. The recipes are incredible with a ton of options from seafood to steak, oysters and more. The book is a must have! Great stuff DWolf

SO excited to finally receive the cookbook today - pre-purchased it in February knowing it was coming in May so it was a very cool surprise! Have followed Derek's instagram page for a while now but have yet to get my feet wet in FIRE but the summer is here! This was exactly what I was hoping for - not just recipes but the whole story including equipment, best wood to use for fires, how to gage the heat of the fire and so much more. If you love to grill this is the next level and I promise you'll be salivating all the way through. Very cool to read how Derek and his wife turned a passion into a resource for all of us!

Absolutely gorgeous cookbook . Filled with so many useful tips about cooking outside over fire . Tips, tricks and recipes . Great for a beginner to a more experienced outdoor cook this book is a slam dunk ! And follow @overthefirecooking on IG if you’re not convinced yet, his photos and videos seal the deal !!

Been a big fan of Derek’s blog for a while so I grabbed this for my old man for Father’s Day (showed him overthefirecooking about a year ago and he checks it almost everyday). Figured I’d copy a handful of recipes before giving it to him but I’d run out of space on my phone! Long story short, I bought and copy for myself and an extra for a friend. Thanks Derek for all the great content over the years!!

Here is a cookbook you never knew that you always needed. The techniques he demonstrates should be built into your fundamental cooking skills and the recipes look amazing! Im gonna fire up my pit today! 10 stars. (My friends will envy my food muhahaha)

I got this book today and I've already tried a recipe from it. The photos are amazing and the recipes are easy to follow! Not only that but there are some tips that will up your cooking game no matter what you're doing (like the herb brush! Game changer). So excited to try all the recipes in this book and become a fire master.

Been following Over the Fire Cooking on Instagram for a while now, and been cooking all his recipes!! Derek Wolf is on point and from a first glance so is his book!! The recipes and instructions are suitable for any skill level!!

I was very pleased with the amount of detail and layout of the book. It arrived today and so far the first 2 recipes were immediate crowd pleasers for those I cooked for.Very happy with this purchase!!
