BatesMen's Gx-8 Ultralites Loafer

This is the second pair of GX-8's I've had and they are an amazing pair of boots. I used them for work; on my feet for over 12 hours a day, super comfortable, waterproof, warm in the snow, but keep feet cooler in summer. Great non slip sole, first time I've had boots that don't slip on nearly anything (bar ice but that's what crampons are for.)I suffer with achilles tendinopathy and after spending a lot of money on other boots these give me great support and keep the swelling at back. Before these it used to be dose up on morphine patches before I could walk.The price was amazing and the delivery, for me, was next day. Outstanding service.

Wanted a waterproof boot that I could use on a motorbike and feel comfortable walking around in, These have turned out to be perfect so far. Really pleased with them. Fit is great. No breaking in required. A bit shinier than my other boots I own but they look great still.

Had them on every day since they arrived. Great fitting and are holding the heat 10x better than other boots I've bought

This is a fantastic item, however I regret they stopped making these, therefore i could not get the sidezip version.But the comfort as many people said is good, but not great!, when i stand still for some time, my heels starts to give me pain, i do not know if it is only myself suffering from that but apart from that, for walking etc.. its awesome!One more thing the ultralite thing is great! at least a pair of boots i can walk with and not drag with me.

Ive had these boots for just over 2 months and absolutely love the fitting and quality of them, the sock inside them make them so easy to get on and off and the quality of them compared to Magnums, even the flagship model of Magnums is second to none, however after such a short time both of the boots have burst open at the seam just above the heel which is concerning.I have opted to have them replaced by Amazon in the hope that this was just an anomalie but fear that the same thing will happen again. I think it may be more an issue of the way they are manufactured in general.Buy from Amazon and at least the years warranty will be honoured, but id be hoping that they lasted longer than that.

For now, all going well. Really good support for 12 hour shifts.Will review further as it is my first pair of Bates. Only had them a few weeks and so I will review further down the line.
