I was looking for some of the performance of the spill pads we use at work without the investment. These are not those pads. However, they do what they need to do with a few tolerable drawbacks. I'm definitely not dissatisfied. I've used them to catch liquids as well as wet solids while cooking to catch wet stuff that makes it on the floor in a cutting frenzy.The first consideration: I'd like for them to hold the water they absorb when I pick them up. I have slick tile floors. Any liquids and my floors become like an ice rink. I bought these for immediately throwing down on spills to mark the spot and also pick up the liquid. The first time I used them I picked them up and water dripped from the edge. Not a big deal since I saw it--and put down another pad. I'm sure there's a learning curve to knowing how many to use and not letting the pad overfill. Second consideration: I tore one getting it out of the bag. I wanted to keep them in the plastic bag they came in, so I cut a slit in the bag to retrieve the pads like a tissue box. Mistake. I just opened the bag like a pillow case for a solutions. Final consideration, something I don't really care about: They come in a giant clear plastic bag, so these will not look "pretty" on your refrigerator, counter, or wine cooler unless you're going extreme industrial decor. They're absorbent pads for catching spills. I've ended up pulling a small pile out and wedging them in the cabinet in my kitchen with my cookie sheets. The bag is in the garage.These come with a perforation down the middle. So far, I've been able to use "half" sheets for most of the spills in the kitchen and I keep a full sheet under the water dish for the pets. It has yet to wear out, so that's a plus right there. Overall, these do what I expected. They pick up spills and catch wet stuff from my counter when I'm cooking to quicken clean up time. Don't expect to reuse, abuse, or impress your friends--unless they see the genius in the original purchase.

Mats work well. Takes a second for the process to start but does what its designed to do. defiantly cuts down on paper towels and shop rags. Perfect for tearing down parts with fluids in or own them

These pad appear to be very absorbent. We got them to augment our spill kit so if we have a small spill we do not need to open the major spill kit. We have fortunately not had to use them yet so we can't speak to how well they work, but I believe they will do a good job should we ever need them.
