Respironics Ultrafine CPAP filter for REMStar, M-Series with tab 12-pack

This is a filter for a older machine, that came with a unique filter.The filter has a plasticgrid on one side. It also has a handle, rather than kust being a rectangle.I looked everywhere for these and no one had them. I had to use the normal filters that are for other machines.But the shape of the air intake is smaller on this machine and I feel that they out that grid there for a reason.So I am glad to have found this after many searches.

Great Product, Shipped fast and no issues

This filter is a great filter! it is thicker than it's replacement which is much thinner, less filter material and just a little smaller to it does not fit and seal as well as the larger tabbed filter. But be careful, when I ordered I was shipped the slammer "replacements" that I was switched to by my local CPAP supply store. Check upon arrival to make sure it is the right item!

Product is high quality standard filter for our CPAP. The shipping cost was just the cost of the stamps. Unfortunately, the item was sent with a .46 cent stamp leaving $1.61 postage due. They only charged me 46 cents for shipping but the mail man needed the additional postage and he doesn't have change for a $10. I needed the filters badly. Fortunately I was home when the postman came or he wouldn't have left the filters. I had to write a check! When was the last time you wrote a check! Anyway it will help us all get our product on time if the company gets the postage right to begin with. Like I said, "Great product", postage due a bummer.

The mesh on these filters is quite a lot thicker than the one that actually came with my machine, and that makes them less flexible. The little tab on it to help you get it out is essential, but because the plastic mesh is so much more rigid, it doesn't make a positive bend or crease, and so it sort of curves in. You then have to jam the foam filter on top of it quite forcefully to get it to stay in at all, and if you move the machine (I traveled to England and had to move my machine every few days), you have to constantly be checking to make sure the filters are still in. Because it this one pops out, it takes the foam filter with it, and then, you're just breathing in whatever comes through the machine.I wish they would try to remedy this, because they are quite attractive price-wise, and I will try them again in hopes they make this change.

The filter is of the highest quality, from what I see. Many of these filters sold on-line are cheap cut out filters. These are not those.C- Pap mfg. may have some filters of higher quality maybe for more money. These filters, for the price, change out the filter every month, for less than $8, will last a year.

This kind of filter stays in place better if you either clip off the tab entirely or just clip the heavy plastic mesh backing along the line where it will need to bend 90 degrees. Otherwise, it's hard to push in and keeps trying to push itself - and the foam filter too - out of the niche! I keep the tab on because it makes changing easier, so I clip the mesh partially along its bend and it works great. ....... These are exactly the right dimensions, and a much better price than what my previous two suppliers were charging Medicare!

The item delivered is not like the one pictured. The tab used to pull the filter out is no longer part of the filter. The filter is also much thinner than previous orders. I will probably find another filter to order next time.

Received sponge filters instead of the tab paper filters and had to sent them back
