Comparing it to my oem latch motor asm it looks great. Installation was fairly easy with some YouTube videos and it functions perfectly. Will update if it fails in less than a year but it looks like it’s out together wel. Praise God for cheap affordable parts!

Fits perfect, easy to install, saves hundreds of dollars in repairs probably. My trunk release latch wasn't working well and then the trunk wouldn't latch shut. After driving around with a bungee holding the trunk closed, I ordered a replacement latch. Installation is so simple. Just watch a video. I was done in a few minutes and the trunk works.

I considered buying the oem for expected performance but at 3 times the price I went with this unit. Great call. Worked without any re initialization of sysyem. Nice smooth action with firm release. Even sounds the same. A great opportunity to not buy the OEM and get equivalent performance. Very satisfied.

It didn’t perfectly align with all screw holes, but for how cheap and easy this was to install, it’s worth it. Saved hundreds doing it myself and it functions perfectly fine!

Fit easily with 4 10mm bolts and wire harness. Once installed you may have to reset the computer to get it to work elecyronically. Evidently the computer may disable this function if it does work for a while. Let's see how long this one will last.

I bought this for my 2008 4Runner after the original hatch closer on the vehicle broke after 15 years and over 200k miles. I didn't want to pay what Toyota was charging for one of these, so I bought this one as a cheaper alternative.But as the saying goes, penny wise, pound foolish - the first one that I put on broke within a few months. The motor will still run, but the mechanism won't pull the hatch shut. To the seller's credit, they sent me a free replacement, and this second one also suffered the same failure in about a year.At least this assembly isn't very hard to replace, and I do subject my 4Runner to lots of dusty offroad driving, but that's what I bought it for. Unfortunately, this part is not a suitable OEM-quality replacement. I'm going to pay up for the OEM replacement, because I'm tired to replacing this over and over. At least the OEM unit was good for 15 years.

I'm no where close to being a mechanic but this was an easy to assemble. It took less than 5 minutes (youtube helped).At first I thought it didn't work as the trunk didn't lock when first installed. I had a family friend took a look at it and he added some washer and it worked great. I assembled the piece correctly but the alignment was still off, a commen problem with the toyota corolla '03.A smooth close, no more slamming.Family friend said the old trunk lock might have worked with the washer trick but given this car is over 20 years old replacement seemed warranted.

2014 Chrysler 300 needed a 10 mm socket very easy to install two bolts fits perfectly and that works well.

Does not fit a 2006 chrysler 300! Wrong plug waste of money and time

I installed this on a 2014 Dodge Charger SE. Very easy to remove the previous actuator which had it's little motor die. And install the new one which looks and feels like the factory OEM one. Power connector is a perfect fit. To get the tailights to do the double flash again when hitting the trunk open button. I just had to start the car up. Very happy with the purchase, especially when imagining what the dealership would have wanted.
