Every now and again I come across someone who dislikes my writing in turquoise ink (also available on Amazon.com) so I must with over to this. Works well, nice and smooth with a consistent line weight.So I recommend this to anyone stuck in the blue vs. black battle. And if you are a multipen user like me try the turquoise, or the purple, or the ORANGE.

The digital transcription of the Livescribe refills has never been very good (at least for me). There were lots of extraneous lines on the digital version page. It's like just moving the pen around in the air caused lines on the page, characters seemed to have multiple strokes, and the like.To my surprise, all these problems went away with the Monteverde D1 refills. All the extra lines are gone, characters are properly formed, phantom scribbles are gone! The digitally transcribed page is now clear and contains only what I actually wrote on the paper. The resulting text is much MUCH clearer and the PDF conversion is far better (although still not all that good, but that's as much my handwriting as anything). Also, the pen ballpoint itself rolls/flows across the page much more smoothly and easily. An added bonus.

I just got them, so can’t say how long they will last me, but they write very nicely, I like the color and they worked right off the bat - no priming. YAY!

You might think pen inserts would be standardized. I did. I was wrong. There are 100 different versions. Be prepared to pull off sleeves or tips or add a wrap of tape to make this fit your particular pen. They seem to be good quality.

These D1 refills are great, i've had these cartridges in my edc min pen for a few months now and have never had an issue with flow or ink startup from these refills. They fit perfect and are very sturdy. They write very smoothly and the ink is very saturated, quick drying, and very pleasant to use.
