They certainly aid in walking. In my 70’s with scoliosis and leg differential. These allow me to walk standing straight up for a much longer distance! Very pleased

Poles are awesome. Definitely help my stability and poles are nice and sturdy. Only thing that might be nice is if they had a heavy duty to coat over the gorgeous paint to help prevent scratches on the poles. Very satisfied with my poles and get a lot of compliments on them.

First experience with nordic walking poles. Love thedesign & decoration. Really improved my aerobiccapacity as 80y/o woman who got out ofshape recovering with too much time in bed after experiencing "minor" fall with spinal compaction fractures. Using them now for faster walking in original nordic walking style. These aluminum poles are not very heavy, but in future will get lighter carbide poles for nordic style faster walking where pole tips are grounded behind me at acute angle once my walkinghas been well rehabbed & stabilized by holding poles vertically with tips grounded in front of me while walking slower.

I would give this 5+ stars if I could. I want to say how impressed I am with these poles. Being overweight with DDD in my back and rheumatoid arthritis, my hips needing replacement, have all caused significant mobility issues. I was beginning to feel quite hopeless. I have been using a cane for the past few years and purchased some “trekking poles” last year. The poles would be adequate for someone who wanted to use them for their intended purpose, but they were not helpful for me — they slide on tile and wood floors, and didn’t feel significant or comfortable for use during any season!I am so grateful that Urban Poling are making these poles. I had no idea these existed until I did an extensive search on Amazon. I already enjoy them so much that during a visit with my doctor this morning I showed them to him and told him how helpful they are. He wrote down the info and asked (jokingly) if I am a sales rep because I was so adamant about how much I enjoy using them and how much more hopeful and confident I feel. These are life changing for me.

The wider bottom better balance when walking. Not as concern about falling when walking.

I use these for balance when walking on uneven ground. Also for hard surface walking.

I have super bad bursitis/tendonosis in both hips. The poles help me maintain a good upright posture when walking. I love how colourful these ones are. It’s a little tricky for me to get the opposite leg to pole forward rhythm going, but I’m working on it.

These poles are excellent for me since I have developed a balance issue due to weakened muscles in my legs. I practice walking at home with them, it's too icy and slippery for me this winter to walk outside. I feel much more secure walking around with these poles as compared to my previous regular ones. These do not telescope on me unexpectedly, and I like the way my hands rest on the supports, it makes me feel much more stable.

I highly recommend these urban walking poles. You won't be disappointed.
