These are definitely compression socks, and they do provide support when I'm wearing with shoes. The one problem I noticed was on two separate occasions when I wore them without shoes and not a lot of heavy movement they cut circulation off to my toes. First time it happened sorta scared me, 2nd time it happened I caught before it got really started. I would only wear these with my shoes for plantar fasciatis and when I'm moving around.

At first I thought- eh maybe...I put them on as soon as they arrived and the compression and tightness were welcomed by my sore feet. I slept in them the first night and I didn't have that "ouch my feet hurt" pain when I took my first step in the AM. I thought "hmmm this may be a placebo effect..." so the next night I did not sleep in them and sure enough, the pain was there when I awoke the next morning.My ONLY qualm is, because the sock is designed to be tight, it takes a tad bit of work to get them on- with that being said, my nail snagged in one sock and I now have a slight run/snag line going up the middle. It doesn't affect the function of the sock- at least not now. Maybe over time it will weaken. The socks are thin enough to wear in shoes/flip flops. Personally, I would never wear them outside of my home just because I don't want my feet to become dependent on the support all of the time. Overall, these socks combined with my regimen of : frozen water bottle/tennis ball rolls, towel stretches, hot soaks (personal preference) and massage, my feet feel a lot better. Just FYI- I wear a combination of shoes (heels, flats, gym shoes, wedges) and after I take off any pair, a quick roll on the H2o bottle or tennis ball followed by a massage of lotion and these socks does wonders for me. :0) Hope this helps!!

I have plantar fasciitis and have been struggling to find products that would support my feet all day long, aside from shoe inserts. These are true compression socks yet in a fashionable style. I was more than happy to wear them solo as opposed to having another pair of socks over them. I first bought the S/M size based on the sizing guide (my shoe size is 7.5 women's). They were a bit difficult to get on because they do not stretch as much as some other brands (and that's why they are true compression socks), but they were mostly comfortable for a full day of wear. Still, I live in a relatively hot climate, my feet tend to swell with the heat and I do have a high instep, so I quickly concluded that the S/M was perhaps too small for me. The seller had already sent me a courtesy email to see how I like the socks. I wrote back stating my concerns about the size. Within 24 hours, the seller wrote back telling me how I could get a refund for the socks from Amazon and offered me a discount if I wanted to try a different size. I love that kind of customer service! I elected to not get the refund because I will in all likelihood wear the socks again (I'm planning to see how they feel wearing them to bed since my feet are the most painful in the mornings). I did, of course, take advantage of the discount and ordered a size up. I highly recommend this product and the seller.

I've never been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis but I did ruin my feet 20 years ago. I have bursitis. I've had such sore feet lately that just have gotten more sore over time. Even in the middle of the night just walking to the bathroom brought pain. They were getting worse by the month.I don't know how I saw these, but I started reading about them and the reviews were amazing, and the price was reasonable for the potential pain relief, so I tried them. When I got them I was sure I had made a mistake in size. They were so tight I didn't think I could get them on. I decided to try again and I was able to get them on, but it wasn't easy. I wore them for several hours including at bedtime. In the middle of the night I took them off because they felt too tight. The next day I was shocked at how much better I was walking without tremendous pain. The difference was staggering!As far as fit is concerned, order as they suggest, but just know it's not easy to pull them on...but it's definitely worth it to wear them and give them a try. BTW, I am 5'5" and about 118 pounds so it's not like I have large swollen feet or ankles. They are just really tight but tight socks must be exactly what my feet need because the difference in general discomfort before and after wearing the socks is like night and day. I wear them several hours a day and it's helping me a lot.

I bought two sets of XLs so I could rotate wearing them on my left foot for plantar fasciitis. I bought these in June/July and wore one literally every single minute of every day 24/7 other than showering/swimming. At first they only seemed to help a little. But over time my pain was less and less. Now I'm happy to report that if I don't wear one for several days I'm still pain free. Over time these helped cure my issue. Not saying it'll help with everyone. But they did in fact change my life a little for the better.My only complaint, and it's to be expected I'd say given the amount of time I wore them, the last month or two they have started splitting along the sides. They still seem to do the job, but they probably won't last much longer. The heels did not wear out at all like I anticipated, so that's a plus. I plan to buy some more and wear them at night at a minimum for a while still to ensure everything is healed up. Great product overall, comfortable and do the job well.

I received a M size pair of socks - the quality looks amazing and the price is excellent, however, the sizing was off. I followed the directions for measuring my foot to find the perfect fit and I was considered a medium. When the order arrived (very promptly) the socks were way too small. I contacted the seller who was very helpful and I will be returning these and re-purchasing the correct size. Their customer service was excellent - one of the best & easiest processes I've encountered. I just suggest going up a size when ordering. You will not be disappointed with the socks.

The arch area on my right foot has been aggravated for some time and it helps considerably to wear one of these socks overnight to ease the pain. I wear size 6/6.5 women's shoe and choose to get the sock size L/XL for an easy fit that does not constrict too much but just right for me.

I felt great relief wearing one (only have issues with one foot), after a few days that is. Not ideal for me to wear in bed as I woke up with a tingly foot like it reduced the blood flow but I wear one all day every day and it's very comfortable and gives me good relief. On top of that I use the foot roller and a TENS machine and with those three therapies I managed to kill the pain after only two weeks.

Purchased large, I take a UK size 10 shoe, unbelievably tight, there is compression and then there is loss of blood circulation!!! Once I got them on, which took a while, they felt uncomfortable, way too much compression. The socks look decent quality but I’d be ordering a size up from your shoe size.

My wife has size 3 UK and she ordered size medium and they were so tight that she couldn’t get them on. Sent them back for a full refund. They would be fine for kids not an adult.
