Jig it, Texas Rig it, or throw it on the hook as a trailer. The Fat Albert Grub is a big ol' Salty grub that will call those big bass in. Large Ribbon tail really gets noticed under water. Attracts a lot of attention, with good water displacement and a great action. Zoom uses a Salt mixture in their baits that makes a fish hold on for that extra time that gives you more hook ups.

These work on largemouth
I have most of the available colors and just move through them until the hook-ups begin. Usually no weight, just cast to bank, let fall naturally, short, quick jerks , pause, reel a bit, short jerk reel a bit, set hook and enjoy the tussle. These are the most reliable soft bait I've used. They hold up well and have yet to disappoint. Fish on.

It worked for me
I used this as a trailer for a swim jig. June bug color in the morning on an overcast rainy day. Tossed it out in the water and let it sink for a little bit, then fast retrieved for 2 sec and let it sink again. Then near the shore WAM! A nice 2lb bass slammed my jig. I'd say it works.

I've caught every type of local fish possible on this lure.
Love these Fat Albert grubs. Catch so many largemouth bass on these things it's ridiculous. I fish them weightless and let them drift slowly to the bottom of the local ponds and the almost never make it to the bottom untouched. They are fairly sturdy too. Pickerel, yellow perch and catfish sometimes will rip the tails off but usually they are good for a good number of fish before needing to be replaced. Fishing them weightless means they do tend to twirl around when you retrieve them so you either need to use a swivel or let your line untwirl before you cast again or you will get a birds nest.

My smaller no purple grubs work great. This is just a no.

Worked great!
These did their job and brought in lots of pike. They held up well to the toothy beasts but did need to be replaced every so often as should be expected. Very good product. I will purchase again.

Zoom Bait Fat Albert Grub Bait-Pack of 10....
I bought the Pumpkin Green based on reviews. The bass just can't leave it alone. A few people complained that the quality was not that great and I have to disagree with them. I caught at least a dozen bass on one grub before it was rendered "torn up" and had to be taken out of commission. The bass I'm catching are 1lb to 5lb bass on average. I'm lucky to live right on the bass capitol lake of Clearlake in northern California. I will be taking these with me to the coast for bottom fishing later in the summer. The action on the tail is irresistible to fish I believe. I love the color because its a fish magnet. Will give a report on ocean fishing with them later in the summer.
