We purchased the Snuggledown blanket, when all the energy prices went through the roof.The best purchase we ever made, so comfortable with dual controls, so many dual heat settings, heat one side of the bed, leaving otherside on a cooler setting, options for just the mid body or feet setting individually or both, very easy to use and cheap to run, pennies in electricity, also washable just slip off the cover wash and refresh, very easy to do, so a no brainer in the winter months, Excellent customer service, we were very happy with our purchase, This blanket would make a great present, if it's not for yourself, we absolutely love it. Quality and service you can depend on, so we would highly recommend it over others brand's.5 star Customer service aswell.

This arrived ahead of time, well packaged. Instructions were easy to follow and ell explained in the leaflet. The dual control was one of the main reasons for purchasing and the separate settings for feet and upper body are a real bonus. It does take some time to heat up but that is not an issue really, as I would not expect a blanket to suddenly get to temperature. The blanket has a really good and handy outer that can be removed for washing. It is also very comfortable and you do not feel the wires through the 2cm thick cover. Finally, this fitted our King Size mattress like a glove and does not get wrinkled or crumpled over night. A great blanket and would highly recommend.

Having never owned a electric blanket prior to this the experience is somewhat limited however before purchase I completed a reasonable amount of research commencing at the cheaper end of the market then working upwards. For us there were several must have requirements which included duel zone temperature control and together with as I now suffer on occasions with cold feet top and bottom of the bed duality of heat control as well. Other considerations were also taken into account.I will deal with the areas which I have found to be part of this particular purchaseOrder / DeliveryThe order was delivered in two days as per the purchase instructions wrapped in a plastic delivery bag this contained a strong inner bag in which the blanket was presented by the manufacturer this was typical of many manufacturers packaging within this industry and used for duvets blankets pillows in general.Un-packingThe blanket was neatly presented from the packaging and was opened onto the prepared bed it immediately looked and felt good quality. Opening out the blanket showed that it covered the whole of the upper face of the mattress (no instructions on which way the blanket should be fitted to the bed - a standard 4foot 6 inch bed) the correct way up for the blanket is obvious as the one side is better padded that the other making this decision easy.. Positioning the blanket on the bed and fitting the corner restraints to the mattress again was simple with a little tugging to ensure that the blanket was outstretched as far as it was designed to be and the bed was made up as usual. The blanket completely covers the top face of the mattress so no hard lines to make the bed less comfortable. Since fitting the blanket a few weeks ago we have not had any creep issues with the blanket moving not any discomfort.One issue which we were concerned about was that the blanket was detailed as also being used as a mattress topper, as we already had a fitted topper integral to our mattress we considered this could be too much. In fact we both agree that the blanket has added further comfort to the bedOperationWe operate the blanket through a smart switch which we operate the on off function through the this switch at what we consider to be the correct switch on time each evening (This can vary) Later any adjustments are made should there be a need are completed as and when there is a commercial break in the programme which we are watching at the time.There have been some comments about a slow heat up time for this item which to me is generally irreverent the way we operate the blanket start time either at home or on the way home. We have found that the heat up will be at least thirty minutes to get to full temperature or even longer. To us this is not an issue.Individual operationAs stated earlier each side of the blanket has individual controls each supplied by its own thirteen amp plug which some may find a little irksome the plug is fitted to the individual controller which has nine temperature settings for each of the two heat zones on that side of the blanket these zones are increased by simple plus or minus buttons on the controller so the top half of the body can be set for instance at number 3 while the feet are set at number 6.There is also a timer button which allows the blanket to be in use for up to eight hours in one hour segments with an additional setting for twelve hours this together with an integral on off switch for each side of the blanket.Should the blanket be switched off at the mains but left switched on art the blanket switch the blanket will default to each side being turned on for one hour at all zones set at the maximum of number 9We have noted that there is a defined difference in the individual temperature setting and the required heat for each individual can be realised for both zones of the body needs.As stated the blanket completely covers the top face of the mattress and heats the bed up to the pillow line and almost to the edge of the blanket / mattress so all areas of the bed are consistent in temperature to that which the blanket is programmedThe ControlsThe individual temperature controllers appear to be well made and of a sturdy appearance. I have noted that there are some complaints on other reviews for me this does not appear to be an issue. When used at night any use of the controller lights the inbuilt viewing panel with a subtle blue light this remains on for approximately ten seconds then goes out so as not to disturb the user.If I were to make a criticism I feel that the wire from the controller is slightly too short another few inches would make it far more flexible for useIn conclusionAlthough we have only had the blanket a few weeks it has made going to bed more enjoyable during the winter months. It has improved the comfort of the bed and each has complete control of their side and upper and lower portions of the bed. For us although far from the cheapest it is a worthwhile investment and we would recommend it.Should there be any issues in the future this post will be updated

Had our previous blanket for over ten years so thought we'd get a new one (recommended to replace after that long)This one was rated highly in other reviews so we went for it.Well packaged, can't quite bring myself to bin the holdall yet as it's sturdy and may be useful storing the blanket in summer. Easy to set up. The elastic retaining straps fit snugly around the corners of our Emma mattress and the blanket hasn't moved much at all in a few months. It feels very comfortable - the connection plug between the controller and the blanket doesn't intrude at all, unlike our previous one where I felt it digging into my arm when on my side.The controller is ace. Lights up on switch on or button press, then goes out after ten seconds so you're not blinded all night. Can set foot and head temps individually too, as well as the timer - nice touch. Would be better if it remembered settings, instead it comes on at maximum when you switch it on. Also, it's not as fast heating up as the previous blanket, but when it does, it's toasty! Guess the payback for slow heat up is the electricity economy - this is pretty cheap to run.All in all, highly recommended.

We have never had an electric blanket before. I did a lot of research before buying and noted that Which showed this as the best buy.Instructions are brief but good. Easy to fit - covers our king size bed perfectly and I like the elasticated retainers. Can’t feel the wires when in bed.. Good length of cable - though we have electric sockets immediately adjacent to both sides of the bed so, not an issue anyway.We turned the blanket on an hour before going to bed on number 7 (highest heat setting is 9) and it was nice and warm (very evenly spread) by the time we got into bed at which time we turned it off. The bed remained nice and warm all night. I can’t ever see us needing to use it on the highest setting - not sure why some reviewers have said it doesn’t get very warm. My feet usually get cold - but not the case after using the blanket.Although it is pricey compared with some other products, the flexibility it provides (eg different settings on either side of the bed as well as top and bottom, the range of heat settings (1-9), timer options etc) are well worth considering. Price on Amazon was also very good - considerably cheaper than other potential suppliers.So far, then, all is “tickety-boo” - long may it remain!
