After a rough start, works great so far
Like others, I looked for an expresso machine in this price range with a 15 or more bar pump... I found the Klarstein semi-accidentally, (customers also viewed this), while looking up something else. After reading many reviews, decided to roll the dice and try it.I did not pay attention during installation, and managed to leave the blue plastic over the water tank where it connects with the rest of the machine, as a result it seemed to work, but work terrible. Come to find out, the pump is so powerful that it sucked the water around the blue plastic and into the machine despite my error. I removed the plastic from the end where the water tank connects with the machine and it has been nothing but love ever since.I noticed reviews that said that this machine did not create a puck from the ground coffee in the portafilter... here is how I achieve that. First, get a burr grinder. (I got this one: bodium Bistro burr coffee grinder),next adjust it to the finest setting. Grind some coffee and over fill it so that the coffee makes a mound on top of the portafilter - then use your pinky to press the coffee into the portafilter until it is flat. Finally (most important) get a real metal tamper for the small size of the portafilter and tamp the coffee down using all your weight, add a slight twist at the end before releasing pressure. now pull the shot... A 20 bar pump will handle the extra coffee - not to worry. I am using the pucks after pulling shots as fertilizer in my yard... Smells better than the other kind and has a high nitrogen content. As far as milk frothing - I removed the silly plastic end on the steam tube. While to would likely work for people who have never made espresso on a coffee shop machine, i didn't like it. My only complaint is that the tube could be a little longer - not a deal killer. I still get great results making foam or steaming milk. The pump provides all the pressure I need - just takes a 10 or so seconds to get up to pressure.I have only one minor (non-deal killing) complaint. The plastic tray (with the metal top) under the portafilter where the espresso pours (drip tray) is too small for the amount of liquid that pours into it. I typically make two to three drinks a day, and after the third drink, I need to empty it. When it is full, it can spill easily due to the design. I wish it were deeper, so that spills on the counter didn't happen as often.Overall, very happy with the machine. Did not expect to be this happy with any machine in the 100-150 dollar range.

So easy to use, your dog could do it (no really!)
Okay, maybe your dog could almost do it, but it's pretty simple.First, hope everyone reading is doing well and safe. Since we're all shelter in place, I still needed to get my coffee fix so I decided to get this one. The reviews looked good so I thought why not?Well, I'm glad I did. This was really, really easy to set up coming right outside the box. It was already put together, so there wasn't much to do, aside from removing all of the packaging that it came in. The only thing you need to do is detach the water tank and remove the blue plastic/film that was covering the hole for protection. Otherwise, the water will not go through.PRO TIP: run the machine with water once to make sure your first brew taste great. You can remove the detachable tank and fill up the tank up to the max link. Then, turn it on (it's a press button) and wait for it to turn green. That means it's pre-heated and ready to go. Then, turn the knob to the left and let the water run. After one whole run, you're good to go.I've probably used it at least twice a day (one for me, and one for my GF when she wakes up) and I really like it. I used to use the French Press and it would kill me on how long I had to wait for my coffee. With this, it's pretty much ready to go with your coffee in under 2-3 minutes. The coffee taste great. I'm using the Trader Joe's roast but I'm experimenting with some darker roast to see what I like best. That's about it. Really simple to use. Cleaning is really easy. Great coffee. And I stand by my headline...so easy to use, your dog could use it. They just need to push the knob to the left and boom! (yes - you have to do all the steps beforehand lol)

Easy for 1st time user
As many have stated, don't follow the directions provided in the manual (it says to wait for the green light). Instead, don't start the machine until both red and green stop flashing. When red is solid, it is ready to press. You will have a solid green while in the action of pressing or steaming. This is my first espresso machine. I will attempt to keep it clean and maintained for extended use. At the bottom of my 1st cup, I noticed 5+ coffee grounds. I am tempted to purchase paper filters just to get a cleaner pull and maybe even an espresso filter puck screen so it'll leave the top clean. Before I cleaned the espresso filter basket, I had noticed that the coffee grinds were very wet. Even after I ran some of it's water through, some grinds stuck to the machine; but, with a few good wipes, it seemed to look like it won't stain. I am glad that I purchased this espresso machine when it was discounted to learn how to use it. Since I am no expert, I cannot express anything else besides what has been stated above.

Makes me feel like a barista!
Pretty great machine for making expresso and cappuccino right at home! Its easy and intuitive enough to use - turn it on, let it heat up, put your coffee grinds in the filter handle, twist the knob and out comes your cup of expresso. The machine also includes a milk frothing spout that makes perfectly frothy milk every single time. Cleanup is relatively easy as well, just make sure to wipe the milk frother and coffee grounds that may get stuck in handle area and thats about it.There could be some improvements however...there definitely are certain parts of the machine that feels cheap, like the handle and the tray area (already scuffed up the metal tray first day placing mugs on top). The milk frother also has this weird plastic housing over the spout. Interesting design but not what I'm used to. Other than that, I would recommend this piece of machinery for an easy way to make expresso at home. The red color is beautiful as well, it immediately spiced up my kitchen space!
