BuzzyWaxx Original Blend 4 Disc Pack - Cast Iron and Carbon Steel Seasoning

I pretty much use only my cast iron skillets in the kitchen and to keep them in the best condition possible, I have found that Buzzy Wax keeps them seasoned the best hands down. The "acid test" for me is eggs. Either scrambled or fried. If your skillet is not seasoned well they will stick to the pan and it makes a big mess. After applying Buzzy Wax when I have cleaned the pan, I have no problems. It's like having a teflon pan without the chemicals! I have used their product for years now and buy through Amazon in order to get my disks quickly. I buy just the disks and keep it in a small mason jar. Love this product!

Watch out for the bee's, really, I applied it outside on a 5 gallon cook pot and all of a sudden bee's showed up so be careful, lol.

It was not clear from the description or the image that the 4 disc pack product does not come inside 4 manufacturer branded tins. The product arrived as 4 wax pucks wrapped in plastic wrap, squishy and all for not being enclosed in the branded tin. It seems I will have to store these in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to press into my original Buzzywax tin once it is empty. While I don't object to the refill concept, it would be helpful if the product description reflected that because I was going to gift at least one of these which I now can't really do.

Easy to use, I have seasoned one pan so far and this works great plus very little is wasted, great buy.

I love this product, and while I started using the tins and then tries the sticks, this is a much less wasteful solution. The tins added a lot of unnecessary packaging, and while the sticks were every handy, they were even more wasteful. This is just the product and a thin bit of reusable (to rewrap) plastic wrap.Regardless of packaging, the product is amazing and greatly simplifies seasoning/reseasoning. I used on my well seasoned cast iron (gave them a good cleaning and baked this on before storage) and my new De Buyer carbon steel pans (getting these led to the cast iron being relegated to the basement). In either scenario, this was preferable to using oil. It's quick, easy, and goes on thin. I find that the amount of smoke is greatly lessened as well (perhaps due to me using too much oil). Anyway, I love and recommend this as well.

Baking at 500 with this product is the best I have used . I think about 1 hour is best. One bar should last forever. I like the smell of Grapeseed oil better but the nonstick performance of this is unmatched.
