Perfect hobby
While I wouldn’t suggest using this product for large projects, it works perfectly for me. I can strip wire while I’m watching TV. Sometimes I will do other micro scrapping tasks, but I always have a pile of wire laying around. If I don’t have anything else to micro scrap while watching tv, I can always strip wire. It probably gets 5-10 hours of usage per week

Cheap and misleading
The stripper itself is made of cheap material, and the compression system operates poorly. When you put the wire into the wheel you have to guide it into a larger hole than necessary, otherwise the insulation/coating has a habit of bunching and flaring out.The wire will also get caught in the wheel, this makes getting a straight cut difficult. THHN and similar Thermoplastic insulated wire will be difficult to strip. As an electrician and long time scrapper this product is not worth the money.

Did not work as well as I thought..
Although I was initially excited to try out this tool, I must say that it did not work as well as I thought it would. The build quality of the tool is good and it feels sturdy in the hand. However, the mechanism for stripping the wire was not as smooth and precise as I was expecting. I found that I had to adjust and readjust the tool several times to get the wire stripped to the desired length. This added an extra layer of frustration to the process and made it take longer than it should have.Despite this, the wire stripper is still a handy tool to have in your toolbox. It makes the task of stripping wires a bit easier, and is a great option for those who only need to strip wires occasionally. The compact size of the tool means it is easy to store, and the price is reasonable considering the time and effort it saves compared to manually stripping wires.Overall, I would recommend this tool to someone who is looking for a handy tool to simplify the task of stripping wires. Just keep in mind that it may not work as well as you expect it to.

The Only Wire Stripper You'll ever need.
This thing is incredible. I used to Strip copper wire by hand, with an exacto knife. It made my hands hurt, So I splashed out and got a fancy dancy $237.00 Electric Wire Stripping Machine. I would have been better off feeding my copper wire into a shredder with that thing, it was messy and ineffective. So when I returned it, I went and bought this.LET ME TELL YOU, I stripped 4 days worth of copper wire today, and although my hands do kinda hurt, It's not as bad as stripping with a knife, and I did 4x the output!!!!! It is well built, easy enough to use that a fungus could strip wire with this thing, and 4x as effective as stripping by hand! Not to mention it was only ~$35.I cannot give a review better than this. This thing has quickly become one of my favorite tools.

Good enough!
My only issue with these is how bad they can bind up with the plastic sheathing outside the rubber insulation. Easy enough solution to just lightly run a knife down it and peel it off before hand. However when doing so you wonder why not just strip it with the knife at this point? Dunno if I’ve just been using a knife long enough that it doesn’t seem that much slower when you have to constantly fight the plastic using this vs the knife.

Good for a few wires but not a long time investment.
When I first got this, it work wonders for me and was able to deal with more wires. However after about 7-8feet of copper wire that had a plastic casing, the left piston broke from grip. I can still kind of use it but I have to force the system open. If you are looking at something to help strip wires and make it a good investment, I would look for a different system.

Absolutely worked for me
I purchased this product on Wednesday, March 30th and received it on Friday, April 1st. I was very excited to try it out because I was tired of using a utility knife and making a mess. I just tried it for the first time on some 12 AWG stranded alan wire with .015 thick PVC coating, plus a nylon jacket. Let me just say, I am very pleased with how easy it was to go through a bundle of wire. I don’t have any larger gauge wire to test right now but I can’t wait to see if it does as well on it. I can’t comment on how well this little wire stripper will hold up over time but I’m hoping it will prove to be one of the best tools in my shop, as far as my scrapping/melting goes. I would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.
